Lost souls getting found
An authentic, sometimes sloppy and disjointed (which is part of what makes it authentic) look into the world of young lost souls who get found by drugs, most particularly DXM (dextromethorphan, the active ingredient of cough medicine). This voyage is not for everyone, and I feel like my four-star assessment is a tad on the generous side, considering that the book never really nails down its point. Also, the book highlights the erratic drama that robo-trippers find themselves enmeshed in, without properly and thoroughly focusing on the actual profundity that can come from the use of the chemical. The final chapters touch this, and I wish they would have gone deeper with it. However, it's pretty amazing that the author put this out there and I applaud his efforts.

Nothing out there like it.
I purchased this book thinking it would be relatable somewhat to my own teen years, and I was correct. It's a profane, yet stunning account of what many young kids like James go through in their teen/young adult years. No other book even attempts to put this mindset into words, but this one does it perfectly,

One of my favorite books
I bought this book a while back and couldn't stop reading until I was done, if you've ever experienced a dex trip, you'll relate to these characters and won't be able to put this uniquely written book down. In fact I may go read it again now.

Very Odd
This is honestly the weirdest book I've ever read. But it is written from high minds so that makes sense. It does give you an idea of typical thought patterns on dxm. It's a bit difficult to read though!

Robochildren: The Tussin Generation
Wonderful book.It is oddly reminiscent of my experience with Dxm abuse..I was James, and my former best friend was Zach..well, mentality wise at least. If you ever abused dxm you'll definitely appreciate this book.If you haven't, this would be a great read get a glimpse into the brain of a robotripper.Thank you James for writing this. I no longer dex since I quit, except that one time I was sick and had to go to work...I appreciate this book, it really hits a tender spot in my heart.I realize that for those of you who haven't abused dxm much, this book may seem confusing and full of nonsense..When you're that robofried, this sort of nonsense makes as much sense as anything else.I'd recommend this to anyone who's abused dxm in the past.I would not recommend abusing dxm to anyone who hasn't in the past.

READ THIS BOOK!
This book was experimental, typographical, depraved, trippy, and relatable; everything I want when I buy a book from a budding indie author. James and his friends' journey in this book is relateable to anyone who is or ever has been a young adult battling the demons that come along with growing up and trying to transition from being a teenager into adulthood. And as a Robitussin abuser myself, this book was so relatable that I felt like I was in it.

Brutal Honesty
The initial portion of the book cloaks itself as a story of "our" generation but the book is a memoir of young "james." Whether james is in fact James Hunt or a creation of fiction is irrelevant as the book portrays reality as something close to the post-modern concept of subjectivity but without the pompous implications. The beauty of the book is its total lack of pretensions: it is not a love ode to drugs, a condemnation of sobriety, or anything in between; it's just james and his struggle to figure out his world. The narrator attempts to structure the book as a statement of our generation but Hunt, with well executed meta fear mongering and grandiose statements of purpose, has the narrative collapse under its own weight again leaving the reader with james, his struggle, and nothing more. Highly suggested for anyone interest in an honest portrayal of youth without any artificial meaning. This book promises a brilliant career for Hunt
