For my previous iPad I had an Anker keyboard and everything about it was almost perfect. I hate change, so when they did not have one to fit the new iPad, I expected the worse. This EC Tech. keyboard is a pleasant surprise. It does not ‘feel’ quite as sturdy, but it folds and stands in the exact same way, which was the biggest selling point for me. The biggest surprise is the actual keyboard. On the Anker the number row was right up against the iPad which made is difficult to type numbers, especially when my nails got a little longer. This keyboard has an extra row, so the numbers are much easier to type. It’s brand new, so I can’t account for longevity, but for now I’m very pleased.Edit: Nope. It worked great for about a week. Now it will not pair. In settings, the iPad sees it, but any attempts to connect end with the message to “make sure the device is turned on and in range.” Restarting the iPad works for half a day, but there is not way I’m restarting every time I pick it up to use. I tried to contact ECTechnology customer support through email, never got a response. Their website is just a bunch of pictures thrown on a site. This is a terrific keyboard case for the 10.5” iPad Pro. They keys are very responsive and pretty quiet. I use this both on a hard surface and on my lap and it is easy to use on both. The keyboard itself is very sturdy. Battery life is amazing! I use this every day and I typically charge it once a month! There is about a one second delay in the initial connection but that is nothing that is concerning. One thing I really like is that it does not add significant weight to the iPad itself. In addition, the keyboard part folds back flat so that you can use the tablet in just tablet mode with ease. I highly recommend this keyboard case!!!

This iPad keyboard case is exactly as described. It is very easy to insert iPad into case, and it fits securely. All openings for camera, operational buttons, charging port, etc. are perfectly placed and sized. I like the magnetic strip at the top of the keyboard as it allows me to adjust the tilt of the iPad. The top cover can also fold in on itself, allowing you to carry or work with the iPad flat without having to remove from the case. The case also closes securely, protecting both the iPad and the keyboard. Pairing the iPad and the Bluetooth keyboard was extremely easy: fully charge keyboard, insert iPad and rest it upright onto magnetic strip. Closing the case puts the iPad to sleep, and it’s ready to go as soon as you open the case and set it up on the magnetic strip again, automatically pairing with the keyboard. The keyboard keys are very responsive. I have only had this keyboard for a short while, so I cannot attest to its battery life or durability (according to the majority of reviews, both are very good). There is no backlight on this particular keyboard, so if that’s important to you, keep looking. Otherwise, this is probably exactly what you’re looking for at a really good price.

I owned an apple brand keyboard that I purchased when I bought the iPad Pro. I didn’t use it that much but kept it attached because it protected the screen. It died. This one works very well but I have a concern about using it as a tablet with the keyboard attached... the keys are not protected. They are resting against whatever surface it’s on. It’s the one major flaw that didn’t occur to me when purchasing it. However, it works very well with the keyboard attached. A couple of points - this does not have backlit keys. I don’t have a pencil so I don’t know if it would fit in the case. The instructions for setup are minimal and in tiny type... I charged the keyboard, paired it, and it works. All in all my only concern is the unprotected keys, but for the price I can replace it if there’s an issue. They keyboard feels good and is a bit small which is good for me... for someone with large hands, maybe not!One other annoying thing - you can’t get to your tablet volume controls. The keyboard has those controls. It’s excellent if you want to use the iPad as a laptop and type on it.

The keyboard has great action for everyday productivity and connects with ease. The case feels sturdy enough that I am not nervous to travel with and carry it around town. Battery life has not been an issue yet.

Bought one of these last year and it only lasted about 8 months before the frame around the IPad broke at the left lower corner. No response from the company when I emailed. I superglued it and got another three months out of it then that corner came apart and the right lower corner started to break. The keyboard and connectivity is awesome though.I usually use it while sitting with it in my lap and really like it for that. So for the price I broke down and bought another one. I’ll just be more careful when releasing the magnetic hold on the keyboard rest for the iPad. Also bought the Amazon extended warranty for $2.99 so I can get my money back or a new one when this one fails.I didn’t want to buy this because it won’t last as long as I’d like.

Bluetooth works after you connect it. But after sleeping the ipad, the bluetooth will not reconnect (even if you close/open the ipad, or go into the bluetooth settings and try to connect, or forget device and then try to reconnect). Requires a hard reboot of the ipad to get the keyboard to connect again, which only works until it sleeps again...frustrating and a waste of time.

UPDATE: Today, the keyboard started acting very strange. It would type the incorrect characters, etc. I went online with Amazon product support. Allen had me remove the iPad Pro, restart it, and place it back in the keyboard case. Works perfectly now! I am still very happy with this case!The keyboard came charged. I’ve used it steadily for several days without having to charge it. It works great. I’ve done book editing and writing with it so far. Makes a great addition to my laptop. I plan to use this for travel so I can work on the plane, in the car, etc.
