Let me start by saying this exhaust is awesome, if you want to open up your bike and be safe this is the best I've heard for the first gen R6, 99-02. Based on not finding adequate answers before purchase my experience was this: 1. You do not need to re-jet, the only thing I did was maintain the sync in the carbs, use premium high octane gas (mixed with Sta-bil 360 Marine for the ethanol; to help the carbs) and adjust the idle slightly. 2. It will lean your bike out, mine was running rich in TX, but now in AZ with the altitude and dryer air it's perfect with this exhaust. 3. I did not have any issues with fitment, I sanded the inside of the pipe and end of the header and it slid right on, I re-used the clamp that was on my Yoshi exhaust and it fit perfect. 4. You want to be seen and heard on the roads, don't be annoying - if you don't want to be obnoxious in your neighborhood just keep your bike in a higher gear and slow down.

Love this pipe! fits like a glove on my 2001 YAMAHA YZF R6 CHAMPIONS EDITION! Only problem is the cheap fastening ring.. Barely got it tight enough so that the pipe did not spin, put a half crank on it, and the bolt snapped.... I dont think this is supposed to happen. But other than that, very impressed with this pipe!

amazing sound very very loud only 1 tiny issue..... it eliminates back pressure which then causes ur valves to burn up. so if u want ur bike to burn up use it I burnt a valve already.

This pipe is hatefully loud. I can victimize entire neighborhoods with a twist of the wrist and I'm bit sure if I've ever loved anything more.

Installed very easy and sounds a lot better than the standard exhaust on my 2001 YZF R6. I would suggest a headphone or earplugs in one ear though.
