Wow, I am very impressed! The holster fits my XL-50 nice and snug. I place the light inside the holder with the lamp facing downwards, in that position the tail of the light extends out of the holder about an inch making the light very easy to grasp. I have no troubles inserting or removing my XL50 Maglite. The materials are heavy duty, police quality with top notch stitching. The belt loop is an even heavier grade fabric with triple stitching and it's large enough to fit my 2 inch leather belt. I like that the flap is 1/2 inch large because I can simply push the flap aside while it's still snapped to remove my flashlight in a hurry. The flap does not fit snug against the flashlight and that's OK with me. Hey, if the extra room on the flap bothers you, it's simple to trim the flap and restitch it to the holster. I would actually prefer this holster without the flap, nonetheless your flashlight won't fall out unless your doing some really weird physical stuff. The snap is heavy duty with a secure positive feel, it will not accidentally unsnap itself. The holster is made in the USA by HWC and they even stitch a real nice fabric label on the back indicating their name and pride in American manufacturing. Compared to everything else available, this pouch is the best choice. I like it very much! I would recommend the purchase of this holster to anyone with a Maglite XL series flashlight...

This is the best flashlight holster that I have seen for any flashlight. It is made in the USA and it is very well made. Very durable and solid construction, light is easy to slide in and out of holster when it is on your belt and it snaps securely shut.When closed there is a small gap between the top flap and the tail cap of the flashlight to prevent the light from turning on accidentally and running your batteries down. I bought a second one to have on hand, because I have never found a holster this nice and I wear it everyday for my job. I have been wearing the first one for several months and it still looks brand new. For the price this is a great product and it's made in America. I saw some negative reviews and I wonder if they are talking about the same product. I don't usually write reviews, but felt that this one deserved it.

I originally had a maglite XL100 when it was brand new to the market, so there wasn't a holster made for it yet. this made me give the flashlight away because i don't like having too many things in my pocket while I'm working. Recently i came across this HWC holster made specifically for the maglite XL series flashlight. this made me extremely happy because i really liked the flashlight, i just couldn't work with it without a holster. I am extremely pleased with it as of right now. So lets get down to it.Pros:1.The flashlight (Maglite XL200) fits nice and snug in the holster. But not so much that it becomes a problem to take it out if you need it in a hurry.2.The button for the flap to close the holster has a nice firm feeling. Unlike some other police style holsters that you need to hold down the rest of the holster with you free hand to pull it open, this HWC unit can easily be operated with one hand.Cons:1.The only real con i can find with this holster is the fact that the metal button used to keep the flap closed, is exposed on the inside of the holster. This is not really a big deal because it doesn't affect the operation or use of the holster. it does mean that that button will eventually start scrapping the finish off of the flashlight. Too me, i know that my light is going to get messed up anyway due to normal wear and tear (I'm a bus mechanic by the way) so i don't really care. But for someone that wants to keep the flashlight in pristine display like condition (who buys a flashlight to do that anyway right?) this may become a problem down the line.So for my purposes, this flashlight holster would get 5 stars. But from a reviewers standpoint (looking at both sides of the coin) it gets 4 stars because of the issue with the button on the inside...

Very thick not really easy to rip it is also very durable. The only thing was it was very small.

This fits my Maglite XL200 perfectly. It provides a great level of protection, as well as easy access to the flashlight. The flap hangs back pretty far from the flashlight, but this ensures that you do not accidentally bump the flashlight's switch while the case is closed. My only complaint doesn't really have to do with an issue with the case, but one time, I accidentally bumped the switch on the back while I was putting the flashlight in the case. Since this is a good quality case, the fabric didn't let any light through, and I did not notice that the flashlight was still on until later. Surprisingly, the maglite was still truckin', but it had almost burned through the batteries at that point, and the light was dimmed. I thought this case was a little pricey, but when I received it, I did not regret purchasing it. The quality is there, and I know it will serve me far better than a generic case that was not made specifically for the Maglite XL series.

Upon receipt of this item I discovered it was too small for my strion contrary to the description. I decided to keep it and use another light I had that would fit It. I attached it to my duty belt and two days later the loop strap frayed and the pouch fell off of my belt. Most of my gear holsters are made by A-Tac and have lasted for years. This purchase was a reminder of the old saying you get what you pay for.

Ordered this for my XL50 flashlight. Arrived in new condition and promptly. Though it is designed for the XL100 flashlight, which now appears to be just a little bit longer than mine, the fit arround the barrel of my flashlight will hold mine snuggly in place, along with the well-functioning snap. Am quite pleased with the holder and see using it for a while. Seller has also made contact to insure that it arrived okay and also my satisfaction.

Exactly what I expected. Fits the Streamlight Scorpion model flashlight very well, fits on your standard size duty belt or molle vest. Single snap button makes for seamless draw.The only negative aspect is that the belt loop on the back does not open, meaning that you have to slide it onto your belt. I had to remove everything from one side of my duty belt to get it in the position I wanted on my support side.
