Radial KL-8 Rackmount Keyboard Mixer

This is an amazing rack mixer with so many killer features and the rock solid Radial sound quality plus quality plus reliability. I was using a Key Largo and upgraded to the KL-8 for my live rig while keeping my Key Largo in my rehearsal rig. This is some seriously amazing gear and has the best sound I’ve ever heard.

I own the KeyLargo AND the KL8 - Radial Engineering has created amazing components and products that are second to none. I needed a dedicated device for my keyboard rig, and I recently upgraded to the KL8 - I do not know how I've managed to live without this in my arsenal.The KL8 is sincerely the best piece of equipment in my rack, and the single most important (next to my IEM). I route 2 Korg keys, guitar -> POD Go, and Sampler through the KL8, and I can also run an auxiliary for music between sets. Indespensible unit!

I purchased the KL-8 at a local music store (was cheaper than Amazon). This is the unit of the future.1-The fact that it has 2 USB inputs that can be switched with a pedal means you can run TWO laptops with MainStage/Kontakt/whatever running simultaneously and if one freezes you can hit the pedal to switch to the second laptop and keep on chugging! It takes much of the danger out of running virtual instruments in a live setting. The trick is figuring out how to run input from your controller to both laptops simultaneously. As of now I'm using a USB switch which means I have to hit that as well as the foot switch.2-You can run 3/4 hardware keyboards into it and mix your whole setup so the FOH can't mess up the keyboard mix.3-It's super clean. No Noise at all. I run it after a power conditioner and I hear nothing when idle.4-Other features which shouldn't be extras. These features should be standard on mixers but they're not. Headphone cue on all channels individually. XLR outs for both monitor and mains. Sum to mono on the outs.
