5 Original Albums

I first heard Chuck Mangione's music a long time ago. (It was on a cassette tape) I'd forgotten about it over the years and when I saw this set, I snapped it up.

I wish I could just leave it at "incredible."Some of these albums are just amazing. It's easy to pooh-pooh Chuck Mangione for his more commercial albums and some of those are in this set. But a few albums like "Main Squeeze" and "Chase the Clouds Away" are well... in 2019 I would call them... groundbreaking.Should I call them gritty? Not sure. Ballads separate the heavier tunes which I think can be a great way to build an album. Bill Watrous did this with "Manhattan Wildlife Refuge," which is a great album. But "Chase the Clouds Away" as an album brings the same form into a position that anyone can enjoy, not only jazz afficianados. Not easy listening. Just really really fun to listen to and generally great. I don't give five stars often. This is a deal, pure and simple. And after watching Main Squeeze, all in all a great album, sit on CD at the $100 price point I'm really happy to have this and the other albums in the set. Chase the Clouds Away was a surprise. 100x better than expected!

Loved the music and the only reason I bought because it ad the Main Squeeze album plus 70 miles young which was an added bonus but not necessary but I owned everything else but the price was right.

Chuck Mangione will always be our family's favorite musician. We have most of his music, either on vinyl or CD, but didn't know this one existed. How happy were are to find this on Amazon. Thank you.

Ho scoperto questa serie che offre 5 album, spesso introvabili, a un prezzo veramente basso (dai poco più di 2 euro a poco più di 4 l'uno) e ne ho acquistati ormai molti. Conoscevo solo alcuni pezzi di Chuck Mangione che mi erano piaciuti molto e questa raccolta mi ha permesso di scoprire con piacere la sua discografia più importante che non avrei mai comprato a prezzo intero e che non mi avrebbe quindi permesso di ascoltare in modo più approfondito la sua musica. La confezione è molto compatta e ben fatta ed è composta da una robusta confezione di cartone con i CD inseriti anch'essi in buste di cartone con le copertine originali.
