The Leather... This Allstate Leather Duster is made from quality 1.2mm Quality Full/Top Grain Buffalo leather. Buffalo leather is a little softer than cow/steer leather but just as protective and I can say that from experience: I also have an Allstate AL2010 motorcycle jacket and the AL2012 motorcycle vest, both also made from Buffalo leather. This past June I was run off the road at 67mph (on a “lane change”) onto wild-grass and weeds. Aside from some minor bruising and contusions, all I had was a broken left wrist (I was wearing protective MC pants and Allstate leather chaps, my AL2010 leather Jacket and a modular helmet). That Allstate buffalo leather jacket gave me great protection (but my cruiser was totaled).The Pockets... There are two large pockets on the front of the jacket secured by two snaps at the top. Behind them are two side entry pockets meant to let you warm your hands (some reviews criticize these pockets for not securing your goods, but then they are not made for securing your goods). There is one inside pocket on the left side. It would be useful if there was also one on the right side; but that left side pocket is quite large and where I easily place my 7.5” tall wallet and my smart-phone. On a snapped duster storm-flap it is not so easy to access, but I will often leave the inner and outer snaps at the level of the pocket unsnapped for quick access.The Dimensions... I like my dusters to be roomy and not snug so I can [1] layer up and [2] for more freedom of movement, particularly in the shoulders. I have a 42” chest with a 33” waist, height of 5'7”, and bought a Size Large and that works perfect for me (but most people my size would probably wear the Medium). By the way, the sleeves are a raglan style (a sleeve that extends in one piece to the neckline of a coat, shirt or sweater) that greatly assists in shoulder movement. When I extend my hands out, on a motorcycle, etc., they are a perfect fit for me. My size Large Leather Duster weighs 7.6 pounds (My oil-skin canvas duster weighs 5 pounds, my raincoat duster weighs 2 pounds).Odds and Ends... [1] the Duster has leg straps to help you secure them to your legs when on a horse, bike, or motorcycle; but on the duster I bought they are 14” up from the bottom and secure at my thighs and not at my calves; on my Vulcan MC, I grab the front corners and pull them up through those straps to secure the lower part of the coat. Otherwise, the lower part of the coat will be flapping as you drive. By the way my duster comes down to right above my ankles. I love the length.(2)The duster appears to be well stitched... time will tell... plus I have never had a problem with the Allstate Jacket, Vest or Chaps.(3) The Snaps (Grommets) are strong but I did have a snap on my left front pocket break the day after I received the coat. I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me 12 replacement snaps. Problem solved. Also Jacket was sent the day I ordered and received 3 days later. Great Service.(4) Treat this leather duster with a good leather conditioner and you will get years of service.(5) This Leather Duster Coat with Zip-out liner, Leg-straps, and Removable Cape is well worth its cost.(6) If lost or stolen, I will gladly and quickly replace it.(7) Oh, did I mention that I love the look of this leather duster and will wear it often this winter and for any future winters... or for any cool or cold days.

I moved to Minnesota and needed a really good coat for winter, and it had to be long, warm, and leather. After a month and two other failed attempts I finally hit on this duster, at a great price, in stock, I crossed my fingers and placed my order. It arrived!!!! That alone was enough to make me love this coat, then I started wearing it.This black beauty is awesome!! The removable cape gives two distinct looks to this coat, I leave mine off but will check it out when the really icky wet stuff comes. The zip out lining is a light quilted vest, it makes a difference, no cheap little thing that. The leg ties keep it from flipping about in the winds we have been getting, they thought this coat thru!We just enjoyed a blizzard, 30 mph winds gusting to 45, temps near 0, real feel was -26 and I was out there warm as can be with a long hoodie underneath, even acting as a wind block for my sis in her long thick down coat that the wind was going right thru.Do you a favor, stop shopping, buy this coat and know you will be stylish and toasty in a quality product!Size wise I usually wear a medium to large, I bought an extra large to layer under and it fits comfortably without me feeling lost in it.

This coat is thick and the leather is pretty good. The length is perfect as I'm 6'2", 295lbs.. I bought the 3XL a's that's my normal coat size and I was not disappointed. I came across another review that talked about the snaps breaking and the same happened to me while removing the cape to treat for water protection. I too had to order a set of snaps to repair the one that broke so I'll have extras in case more break. Other than the cheap snaps, this duster is awesome!

I gave it a four star rating because of the incorrect description. Leather is beautiful and thick enough to keep the wind an cold off you. I have found zero flaws in the workmanship. My only issue was the fact that in the description it says the duster has two inside pockets. In reality there is only one. Still a great coat though.

The duster it’s well made,heavy,but that’s expected. My problem will be with the word ‘premium’. This company should not use it so easily. There is nothing premium about this duster. It’s just a sturdy leather coat. Just an example, the cape it’s made from different leather patches, the left shoulder it’s made form a soft leather patch but for the right shoulder they used hard one.I also never received the key ring or the timer like it’s advertised.Bottom line, this duster will never win a beauty contest, I will get back here with more info after I will use it for it’s purpose (riding my hog)

I’m always hesitant to buy coats online but I’m glad I pulled the trigger on this one especially when I found out it’s made in Pakistan. This is a well made coat and I think anyone shopping for such a coat will be very happy with this one.

It's a great coat. The problem is though that two of the capes buttons were broken. Kinda bummed about that but still good. Update, even more broken buttons. five in total. In the course of the arrival on Thursday and looking it over on Friday I found all five broken buttons. That doesn't sit too well at all after spending over 200 bucks, which is the majority of my summer job money update again. I talked to the seller and they happily gave me a replacement which I'm happy with. They responded quick and agreed to a replacement. Very happy with purchase

It's a pretty well-made coat. I only gave it 4 stars because one of the button snaps broke, and the leg straps were non functional because the snaps were the same on both sides. I possibly could have complained and had them fix it or send me a different one but I just fixed it myself for about 10 bucks for some replacement snaps and a couple leather punch setting tools.
