Perfect Layer for an Alaskan Adventure
I purchased the Minus33 100% Merino Wool Isolation Men’s Midweight Quarter Zip for an Alaskan cruise, and it exceeded all my expectations. This pullover kept me incredibly warm and comfortable throughout the trip, even during chilly evenings on the deck. The merino wool is soft against the skin, breathable, and doesn’t itch at all. The quarter zip is perfect for adjusting ventilation, and the fit is spot on—neither too tight nor too loose. It's also lightweight and easy to pack. I highly recommend this pullover for anyone needing a reliable and warm layer for their adventures!

We were VERY pleased by the weight of the sweater- heavy for outdoor ...
Bought this from Amazon- first time we heard of this company. We were VERY pleased by the weight of the sweater- heavy for outdoor use. My husband was not sure he would like the zipper-afraid it would rub his neck. He quickly learned how useful the zippe is to adjust e posture for temperature control as he warmed up. Since then, have purchased both men and women's expedition weight long underwear which was PERFECT for our trip to S. America where we used them on excursions into Patagonia in Chile, boat excursions in cold weather ports, and in Usuaiha, Argentia- the city at the "bottom of the world". If you plan to end outdoors in seriously cold weather, these are warmer than any Smartwool or Icebreaker we have tried. Perhaps similar in weight to some heavy weight WoolX, but these have a softer hand( softer material). You CAN wear them days in a row without stink, if you can stand the idea of not washing them! They WILL last longer for sure. Traveling, I washed in cold water in the sink with shampoo (only liquid soap product I had). Rinsed out, squeezed out( do not wring to mess up sizing), roll in towels ( especially the super absorbent kind made for travel) and they are nearly dry next morning, Unlike cotton, once you put them on, they quickly stop feeling damp, and you stay comfortable. Use a top layer of wool as well and you are good to go !

One fabulous shirt!
I have long been a fan of Minus 33. So, when I needed a base layer to wear as a shirt in chilly Vermont mornings, it was logical to start there. This one was beyond my expectations. It fits perfectly (large with a generous tail). It is soft as a cotton diaper BUT it’s Merino wool so it is warmer and doesn’t get muggy. It is exactly the right weight — Goldilocks, neither too flimsy nor too heavy (that is what I feared). A good medium weight shirt. And the thumb holes will be great when it’s purpose changes to being a base layer in the fall.

Good for hiking during hunting season!
Wanted a bright orange smart wool for hunting season. It’s very long in sleeves and length. Washes well, very warm, sometimes too much depending on the weather. Light and thin. I don’t like the jersey material that is so popular now. I sweat and it doesn’t keep me warm. But smart wool keeps me warm and dries fast.

Soft, warm, durable
I bought this pullover for my husband for Christmas 2019. He has been wearing it (a lot!) for a year now and he loves it!! He loves its softness and warmth for a mid weight shirt. He wears it for cycling, hiking, walking the dogs, or just going to town. He wears it for any kind of weather (we live in northwestern Oregon where the weather changes a lot!) - with a t-shirt for cooler days, or under a warmer jacket on colder days, or even on a drizzly day.I feel it’s quite durable, as well. We got a puppy in July and he is now 6 months old. He will grab my husband’s sleeves often. Even with his sharp teeth, there are no holes to be seen on the sleeves!I care for it lovingly as I do with all his cycling clothes - wash in cold on a gentler cycle, no softener, and dry on a low heat using the wrinkle guard setting for a long, cool dry.Bottom line - your money is well spent on this wool shirt!

Outstanding Product!!
This product is awesome. Wore it as a base layer while elk hunting in Colorado about a month ago. The fit was perfect. I have pretty long arms and shirts tend to be a little short in the sleeves. The Large fit me perfectly. I've washed and dried it a few times and it hasn't seemed to shrink at all. It has the right amount of warmth and breathability. I put in roughly 20 miles in 3 days hiking around chasing elk in both warm sunshine and cold rain and never noticed being sweaty or uncomfortable. It wicks moisture like crazy. It was the first merino wool I've ever used and I can say that I'm definitely a believer. It's lightweight and packable. Just a truly great product. I've been recommending it to all of my friends and colleagues and I'll continue to use this brand for all my base layer needs.

Worth every penny! Soft, moisture wicking, breathable, everything you need.
Minus33 merino wool is expensive but worth every penny. When I went on a hiking adventure with a large group of individuals in artic weather (in middle of December) these cloths saved me! I bought 4 pairs of socks, face/neck cover, long John's, jacket and gloves. I swear these items were the only reason I didn't leave with frostbite. A good amount of my hiking buddies got 3rd degrees frostbite and has to be medically treated due to improper attire. The worst I got was frost nip on one finger due to a small whole I got due to me cutting through my glove with a knife. We were in this hike for 3 weeks to test/ challenge ourselves and I was the only one unscathed. These items I will forever recommend, specially if you hit weather below -30 degrees.
