Gamewright Go Nuts!

We have this game, the one on the right is the one we have, We ordered this for a birthday gift and we got the one on the left. They were the same price but the new one is in a VERY flimsy box that I am afraid that the dice will fall out and get lost! Very dissapointed in the cheap packaging. We have mNy of the Gamewrite games and the boxes are VERY durable. what happened?????

Both my kids (5 and 7) love this game. I actually enjoy playing it too. I’m grateful for games that aren’t fun for adults but easy enough for kids. The push your luck aspect is fun to learn and figure out. This game involves simple addition and counting as you roll acorns and add them up quickly. We’ve learned a lot of good educational and gaming skills and spent good family time together. I would gift this game and recommend it. I just wish it had the nicer box that I have seen others in. We threw away the box that came with it and put the pieces in a ziploc bag because the box was already ripping.

We are big board game people in my house. We have hundreds of games. Go Nuts! became a staple quickly. It is an easy game to learn to play and is quick! We like it because it is easy to bring with us places (just need the dice!) and is fun for all ages! My 8 year old really enjoys it and often wins and even my 3 year old gets in on it sometimes (although we do have to slow down and take it easier on him!). Id recommend it for family game time!

We have fun with go nuts. Dice are rolled to add up points and decisions have to be made about when to stop rolling to avoid losing points or give up what you have to go for even more. There is a bit of strategy and the game brings out the cautious vs. risky natures of your kids. It gets the heart racing and keeps all the players involved at all times, which is a great feature for a game. Slightly favors kids who are more coordinated/older. Relatively cheap, but you can easily make the game yourself out of 9 dice if you know how to color them and the rules.

We love the Gamewright games, and this is no different. It is fun and different than all our other games. Everyone has enjoyed this new game. My only complaint is the packaging. Gamewright normally has great boxes for all their games, but this is flimsy and was even torn just trying to open it the first time.

Okay, this definitely deserves the awards it has won, however, it could be improved with ONE slight modification... if Gamewright would just include a travel case or pouch like ThinkFun does with many of its puzzle type games... if it had a travel case/box would be perfection! The hanging card type box it comes in isn't that durable, but it is small enough to stick in your purse. We found this to be great fun, even waiting at the doctor's office. It kept my 6 yr old son entertained for quite a while; and then if you set a certain number of rounds and tie, there is always the challenge of the "tie breaker." Great for young and old. Again, this one is great even for younger kids, our 4 year old loves the game. We play a little slower for the little guys, but I could see how it could be frenzied and hillarious with a group of older kids or adults. Fun for all... and really all you need is a little case to stick the dice in (and would be great on trips because you could roll into the case rather than worry about losing dice on a car seat or floor) your small pencil and score pad and you're set. GREAT Fun. Love it! this would make a great stocking stuffer for nearly anyone too.

Super easy to learn. Not a bunch of rules to remember and no need to refer to a rulebook once you get the easy basics. Good group interaction on the all-play rounds. Game was completed pretty quickly, well under half an hour.

Cute little game. We modified the rules a bit to make it easier for our 6 year old, but it plays well. It does get a bit confusing for younger kids when they have to roll for acorns as fast as they can, while the others are trying to roll a dog to stop them. My grand daughter often loses count and we have to guess at the right number. But it's a cute game that let's us laugh a lot. Just don't take the game too serious and you'll do fine.
