Great Series of books - My grandson really likes them -
And I like them too. I learned about this series when visiting family and saw that my 6 yr old grandson had two (of the 9) books in the series. His mother liked them as they didn't have offensive words (like fart and poop and snot and other stuff that so many young people's books seem to have these days. It is male-centered in a world (it seems) of books geared to girls these days -- and the male-figure ones are outlandish in wording and bodily-function jokes. The main character is a boy mouse and the adventures are fun for young boys who want to be a hero of sorts in a simple life. The Mighty Robot is the hero but his owner is 'the little boy mouse'. Fun for adults to read out loud and many simple words so young readers can want to read them too. At first my grandson was disappointed that the 'new' books were a reprint edition of the ones he had but then he realized that the pages were thicker, the graphics cooler and now he wants new books of the two he already had (which he found a a used books store/thrift store). Even the older edition books he read at the library had torn pages (thin newsprint pages). So he agreed the new books would work out just fine. He was super surprised that his grandmother was able to find all the books he was missing (the other 7) and they arrived a few days into her trip - lots of time left to read them all.

Good
My visually challenged child can read the words, and it’s a chapter book.I’m so glad the author spells the words correctly. Mr. Pilkey, if you ever read this, I want you to know that my kid reads your books and loves them. I appreciate that the words are big enough for a child who is legally blind to read, but would appreciate it if he would recognize that kids his age who only read Pilkey books eventually become horrible spellers.

Wonderful chapter books!
My 9 year-old third grader has been looking for "chapter" books within his reading level. He is very interested in his older brothers old books but is not yet ready (Diary of a Wimpy kid, Captain Underpants etc.). These were recommended to me by a friend and I decided to give them a try. I went on AR finder and checked the reading level and immediately ordered a few. He has not put these books down since they arrived. He is your typical boy- loves the outdoors, trucks, video games and so on. He was so excited that he has been showing extended family members his new chapter books. After reading a few pages he will excitedly tell me different things that are happening in the stories. I love that he can take these to school and take AR quizzes and keep them in our home library to read again later. If you have a 3rd grader that is not yet ready for "chapter" books, you will not be disappointed with these.

Beware inferior graphics and quality depending on which version you get
I love this series, but please note that the books in this series come in two versions: in one, the paper is glossy and the graphics are beautiful, in the one I received, the paper is rough and the drawings are simple. The difference between the two versions is striking, with the inferior version losing much of what makes this series great. The hardback version appears to have the original graphics, but beware this one does not.

The story is silly and immature but that's what kids love. My son has rad the entire series already
Our 4 yo really loves reading this series and has read it several times and even brought it to school to share and trade with class mates. Any book that makes our kids read on their own is worth the price of admission. The story is silly and immature but that's what kids love. My son has rad the entire series already.

He will sit down and read these books and share his favorite parts with me
My 6 yo son is becoming an avid reader. He loves these books and was so excited when I bought him the rest of the series. We had the first two that I scoped up about a year ago when a book store was closing. He will sit down and read these books and share his favorite parts with me. These are great for young readers!

got my non reading child reading!
I have not read this book but recommend it nonetheless as it is one of the first books that my 10 year old has ever actually wanted to read. Reading is a big chore for him - he hates it, and I find this so depressing cos I have made the effort to have so many different books available over the years. But he actually likes this series! He wants them all, but some of the prices on Amazon are silly, so we just got 2, and he read them straight away and had finished both within the hour.

Rubbish
Not happy, gave this to my grandson. As he is reading it, the pages start to fall out of it. Very disappointed.
