Shade Just in Time for Summer
I finally got my backyard done just in time for the Summer here in SoCal and was looking to get together a nice outside dining area and was in search for an outdoor umbrella.I came across this one and I really wasn't looking to spend hundreds of dollars on something that may or may not be able last, but I was willing to bight the bullet and get this one for about $100. I was excited when it arrived, but was dreading putting it together. Usually something of this size, it is not fund and could easily take a few hours. When I opened the package was when I started to get excited again. Get this...4 bolts. Yes that is it, so let me walk you through the steps:1. Cross the legs and bolt them up to make the base2. The stand clicks right in3. Umbrella clicks into the stand4. Open the umbrella and DONE!!!SERIOUSLY....took all of 10-min to put together. This thing is also huge and provides a lot of shade that a small table and chairs could fit under it. The material on the umbrella is almost like a canvas material, so it is made to last. My only complaint is the plastic parts because I don't think this large of a product should not have anything plastic, but looks like it will last. The latch to extend and lock the stand is plastic and a small joiner part to lock the swivel, so not really critical parts that will take a lot of continuous wear.Word of advice is to secure the base before extending the pole to open the umbrella because it will tip over. There are holes on the base to secure to your cement or whatever surface. I wanted the convenience to constantly move it, so I just use two large concrete blocks as a counter weight on the base and it worked perfectly. The umbrella is hanging, so it does swing back and forward to the wind, which does add a soothing effect, but do close it in heavy winds. OVERALL...really satisfied.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
I bought two of these umbrellas for my back patio. I thought if I spent a decent amount of money, I would get a decent product. I was wrong! Do not purchase!! BOTH of the umbrellas broke within 4 months. We took very good care of them but they still broke. The support rods bent and now this umbrella won't go up all the way. It is flimsy. I contacted the company and the best they could do was refund me 80%. I am very disappointed in this. I wanted either a full refund or a replacement. They said they couldn't do either. I am soooo upset!!!

Owned 2 years. It's good, but not great... and now I'm in the market for a new one.
pros:-Pretty cantilevered umbrella that provides lots of shade-the tan color has not faded in 2 yearscons:-HEAVY: I had to purchase the separate sand bag for the base so it doesn't blow over in the slightest wind while extended. With moderate+ winds, it's still a little suspect. I suspect that is true of all cantilevered umbrella products, but it's strange to me to design a product that can't be used without a supporting weight.- DESIGN FLAW: There is a plastic piece that you slide into place once it's fully extended. It's INCREDIBLY easy to forget that is there and not move it before trying to close the umbrella, and so this was cracked within the first month of owning this umbrella. I wrapped some black duct tape around it to hold it together, but this is a design flaw in my opinion.-DIFFICULT TO REACH: I'm a 5'6" human. I have to stretch onto my toes to fully open /close the umbrella and use BOTH HANDS plus body weight to pull the umbrella into the closed position. It's not A LOT of effort, but I was surprised that this was needed. As a result, my kids can't extend this umbrella and a shorter adult human would probably find it very difficult- MOVES A LOT: I'm not sure if this is true of all cantilevered umbrellas, but there is only one spot where the umbrella connects to the overhead frame, so the umbrella is not 'secured' and it rocks with any and all wind. It's a little annoying /alarming until you get used to it.

Shady umbrella - Shadier Company. Not Worth the $$$
Easy to assemble, provides nice shade coverage; HOWEVER, after anchoring the unit as suggested by the company, a slight breeze - not even 10MPH - bent the cheap plastic piece holding the horizontal pole to the vertical base pole. Now the umbrella does not have the support it needs, and tilts at such an angle as to render it basically useless. Not impressed. The company promises to respond to email within 24 hours; I'm especially disappointed that after three weeks, I've not received a response. Shady umbrella. Shadier company.

The perfect shade for my patio/backyard
I have a small backyard as I live in NYC, finding an umbrella to go with my table set has been extremely frustrating, either I don't like the sizes or it's too complicated until I came across this offset umbrella. Talk about how easy it is to put it together, it literally took me a whole 15 minutes, usually something like this I would think it would take at least an hour or 2 but not this! it provides the perfect shade for our dinning set in our back yard for BBQs in the summer! for what we spent on this umbrella it was well worth it, it has its modern/fancy look that others thought i spent hundreds of dollars on it. I also love how it stands on its own and can withstand the wind as well as how easy it is to adjust to the sun movements.

You get what you pay for...
I ordered this patio umbrella because I wanted an umbrella for whenever company wanted to use the pool (that I never use). It assembled easily and quickly, and we weighted it with four sandbags (the ones we use when hurricanes come). When we first used it, I was nervous about all the "play" that occurred whenever a breeze blew: the umbrella would tilt to and fro, but it never fell or inverted. I suspect this is "by design" so the umbrella can flex and sway without bending or breaking. HOWEVER...as the sun went down, we realized that the umbrella does not TILT. We could only bring it up to full extension, or collapsed. It didn't tilt as the sun dipped down to the horizon. We ended up with a tent stake in the back lawn and a rope lashed to one of the splines of the umbrella so it could tilt to block the setting sun. But I do wish it could tilt. I think the more expensive ones do. In any event, it was a good bargain for its durability. I suspect, however, that it won't last beyond one summer (if we keep tying it into a tilt).
