Battery worked great for 11 months. Will not charge at all. Very disappointed!!

Initially, I loved the fact that I could replace my Dyson battery with an aftermaket product. My original Dyson battery lasted about 2 years. I bought this one 5 months ago, and while it worked great for 4 months, the last month showed signs of serious deterioration. I thought it was my vacuum cleaner, figuring the battery was new. I disassembled the entire vacuum, cleaned it thoroughly, then began testing individual components. Turned out, it was the battery.After just 4 months, the battery began to die very quickly, and by 5 months it doesn't have enough juice to run the cleaner in Boost mode. While this battery may seem like a bargain, its just not worth it.

My Dyson V6 cordless worked well for 3 or 4 years, then all of a sudden quit working and there was a blinking light i'd never seen before. i looked it up on YouTube and found the fix, which involved this battery pack. it was super easy to switch out and works perfectly again. sorry to my local vacuum repair shop guy but i saved a lot doing this myself.UPDATE my Dyson 6v cordless stick worked well with the replace battery until recently, bought a new battery pack, and it's super again! Much cheaper than replacing the whole machine!

I ordered this to replace my OEM battery that failed on my Dyson Stick. It worked great for a few months but then something happened and it stopped working. I contacted customer service and they offered a refund or replacement. I chose the replacement and it arrived within a few days. Works great and back to cleaning the floors! Great service and a great product! I am very happy.

The battery was delivered quickly and appears to work just like the one that came on vacuum. Only time will tell how long it lasts though. Easy install as it fit perfectly. The price was right as well. Dyson wanted over $80 for the same battery.

Update 7/2021: Little over a year and now it only lasts 5 min on max, same as the original battery that lasted me over 6 years. Get a Dyson original battery. It cost more, but better than dealing with these types of headaches.It works as advertised. My old battery when new would last about 7 min on high and this battery would hit just under 9 minutes, but it gets insanely hot! I feel like it's going to explode any second. But just like they instructed I waited for it to cool down before recharging and my second irk is the light never turns off. I read the instructions and apparently you need to unplug it after 24 hours. Problem is when I want to use it, maybe a week later, the battery is no longer fully charge and it only lasts 5 or 6 min. The original battery you could leave it plugged in and it'll stop charging on its own. Not very convenient.Can't fault them because they did describe most these issues, but in actual use not a good value.

So good!! The battery on our dyson died about 2 months outside of our warranty. After seeing the price for a new dyson brand battery, I thought I may as well buy a whole new vacuum at that price. I saw this off brand one and it had really good reviews and was super cheap so I tried it out. It honestly works better than it did before. I can vacuum for WAY longer than I ever could with the dyson battery. So glad I bought this... highly recommend!

Update: I've bumped this up to 3 stars because the company replaced my battery and gave me a partial refund.Bought this in Dec 2019. It is now dead.
