SKR Motherboard Functions: 1. The performance of the LPC1768 master chip of the ARM class of the Cortex-M3 series with 32-bit main frequency and 100 MHz is significantly improved; tools, integrated development environment for Visual Studio code: support online debugging, more helpful for product development and performance optimisation, use of C languages, low development call; 2. The layout of the circuit board is strict and beautiful and specialised in heat dissipation optimisation; 3. Use a dedicated power chip to support the 12-24V power supply. 4. It can accept 24 V input and can reduce the warm bed current to 1/4 below the same power, effectively solving the current heating problem of the hot bed MOS tube. Supports 2.8 inch, 3.5 inch colour touch screen, supports LCD2004 screen, LCD12864 screen. 6. The system supports simplified Chinese, English and other languages can be switched by itself. 7. Update the firmware via SD card, the operator setup is simple and convenient. 8. The use of a plug-in fuse makes it easier to replace. 9. The special function interface uses an eye-catching pin header to significantly reduce the error rate of wiring. SKR Motherboard Parameters: Appearance size: 110 x 85 mm. Good value board but no quality control
Great value, and ergonomically a well designed board. But my X-stepper driver slot had no power, and UART doesn't work for my E1 slot. Tried swapping drivers etc but no luck. I ended up having to swap the stepper control pins in firmware from the E1 to the X axis and fool the board to use E1 as X. In standalone though, as UART didnt work on E1.

Works like a champ
Running this with TMC2209 stepper drivers in UART mode on my ender 3 - works really well and I no longer get pauses in my prints that I sometimes suffered with 8 bit boards. The temperature readings are also far more stable than the MKS GEN L I had previously, and setting up UART is all done with jumpers, no additional wiring required!

Cheap and cheerful
Set this board up with Smoothieware and Marlin 2.0, and as long as you know what you are doing, works great and the price is spot on. Note that this is the older board so you may get messages saying this if using to connect to Lightburn

A worthwhile upgrade
I added this to my Creality CR-10 so that I could more easily add bed and filament sensors.Set-up was simple; they provide good instructions. It looks and feels well made.

Perfect this time
The replacement they sent works great. No problems at all. The first there was bad communication on the y axis carriage but this one is fine. Very happy.
