MIDAS Liquid Chalk - Grip for Rock Climbing, Cross Fit, Gymnastics, and Powerlifting

I got to the gym. Went to take the seal off the small bottle and there wasn’t one on there. Instead this what I saw a half empty bottle and a yellow ring around the top. Opened the large bottle and there was a seal on it. I tried the chalk once and it worked well so the talk up about it is good from other reviews I just wish for the cost of a 50ml bottle is that I got a full bottle of chalk. I tried to contact amazon but they want me to send the entire product back and I can’t buy the pair together again. I either lose a half a bottle of chalk (which is already expensive) and keep it or send it back and pay even more to get the small and large bottle again and hope I get two sealed bottles. Super bummed I got screwed out some chalk but the product itself does the job on the wall.

Glad to have invested a little extra in liquid chalk - I was naturally nervous having bought a small quantity (50ml) of a seemingly random brand. However, it was a small price for a BIG payoff - I managed to only reapply once over the course of about 8 bouldering routes (approx. one hour with rest included), ranging from V0 to V2s. I'm not a super skilled climber, and have extradordinarily sweaty palms when climbing. It has historically made those last few holds towards the top of a route nervewracking - traditional chalk cakes up and eventually becomes slippery. the Midas liquid chalk was an immediate lifesaver (not literally, but I feel worlds better) because at the top of the routes I wasn't worried about my grip slipping. Highly recommended.

This product I tried because I was influenced by a fellow Spartan racer. We train by doing a lot of dead hangs, pull up and so forth with bars or rings. The bars at the gym are usual slick for some reason but this helps keep my grip as I am building to strengthen my grip. I also rock climb and in the indoor climbing gym I have always used powder chalk. I am looking forward to trying out this liquid chalk. I really don't like inhaling chalk powder all the time. So far at the gym I love it.

My first impressions were a little disappointing as when I squeezed a small amount of the chalk onto my hand it was surprisingly a brownish tint. It may state this in the description but I was not expecting that.The chalk did hold up very well during a deadlift and toes to bar session and I did not need to reapply. It left a dirty chalk grip on my barbell the first few sets because of the tint. Eventually the brownish tint blended and was not as noticeable. I was just expecting a bright white liquid and did not like the brownish tint. But no complaints with the actual performance of the material.

Works well, but the tip of the tube gets dried up chalk around it and makes a little bit of a mess when you open it. I’m not an avid chalk user, but I wanted to try this stuff since I don’t wear gloves in the gym and I was having some sweaty palm issues. It does the job.

Used this chalk for a gym session and was not impressed. The mixture is VERY runny and has a strong smell of the alcohol solution they use to make it. The actual chalk inside the bottle is very little compared to other brands I’ve used. I had to use more than a nickel size and even then I had to reapply several times. When you do apply it, it has a slightly greasy/gummy feel to it (maybe the lotion they put in it?), whereas other brands have a solid chalk feel to them. I only bought this chalk to try it out, and I don’t think I’ll buy it again. 0/10 would not recommend.

I am not a huge fan of chalk all over my pants so I have been trying various liquids. This one is pretty good. I find that it feels a little funky for the first few minutes but the grip is great for lifting and pull ups. I don't find the chalk causing me to rip my hands like traditional chalk does.

Was very skeptical, I workout in a gym that does not allow chalk. I work with weights and on bars so needed something that would not leave a mess or residue. This product delivers. Allows for a good grip, goes on evenly and does not leave a mess! Thank you for saving my hands!
