JM-016 Machete 23-Inch Overall

I've been waiting for three months to order this, And I finally did last week. I just recieved today and here are my thoughts.1) I agree with some other reviews that it doesn't come very sharp. I haven't had a chance to sharpen it. So I will update later.2) I like the case/Sheath, but I do want to get a kydex case/sheath for it later. It doesn't fall out as some people claim. It only falls out a 1/4 of an inch, which is to be expected with nylon case/sheaths. Nothing is ever 100% secure with nylon.3) My back saw came sharp as hell so I can't really comment to much like most.4) The supposive gut hook is a little raggidy, it was horribly sharpened and kinda badly positioned.5) The handle, I will agree with on here. The tang is horribly protruding through the composite handle. So hopefully you have a grinder to fix it, or some heavy duty gloves to protect your hands.6) Definetly replacing the cheapo Paracord on the secondary handle as some may call it.7) The feel of it is nice. I don't know why people complain about it. It weighs a little more yes, but only complain if you've heald more than the cheapo kmart and walmart machetes that are flimsy as hell. Don't get me wrong, I grew up with those, but they are crap in comparison to some.8) And can someone tell where this "Hammer" is people keep talking about?Now, I know everyones opinion is different then others. My review is to just let people know what I think about it. And to let them know about the problems.P.S. I am a little disappointed the the width (Blade to saw). The picture made it seem alot wider. But over all I still love it, After I make the few mentioned adjustments.

My fiance' had an interesting idea to purchase these for his groomsmen and we are going to engrave something on them. Of course it's going to say something about zombie apocalypse.The quality is amazing and just what he was looking for. perfect for the Halloween season.

you will need to wrap the handle in something otherwise itsa great product and does what it says it will do

I like it and it does it's job. It's not as sharp as I hoped but a little grinding or a bit of whetstone work and it's perfect.

The weight is nice but is too dull out the box. I used it around the house cutting back some bushes and dead fronds.
