All you will need.
Better than most. This charger has the capability to test for battery capacity as well as charge batteries. The charge current is adjustable in steps .5, 1, and 1.5 amps. slow charge is easier on the battery. It keeps temp down as well. It does take up to 12 hours to charge and discharge a battery for a capacity test. the bigger the battery the longer it will take. I am satisfied with this equipment.

Nice little device!
Does a lot of things. It’s expensive, but so far does what they said it would. I like the battery conditioning, never had the feature before, already brought several batteries back to useful life. Able to charge 4 batteries AND a power bank off the USB port all at the same time. Sure could use better instructions, most of my info I had to get on online forums.

XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger Review
So, I finally got my hands on the XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger, and boy, it's like the Swiss Army knife of battery chargers! First off, let’s talk about its four slots – it’s like having a mini parking lot for your batteries. Need to charge your 14500s, 18650s, or even the big ol’ 32650s? No problem! This bad boy’s got you covered. Now, let’s get into the fun stuff. This charger isn’t just a charger; it’s an analyzer, tester, and all-around battery whisperer. I popped in my trusty AAAs and it was like they were having a spa day – getting pampered and rejuvenated. It even made my C and D batteries feel young again. I’m convinced this thing has magical powers. The display is super user-friendly. I mean, who doesn’t love a good light show while their batteries get juiced up? It’s got all the info you need – voltage, capacity, internal resistance – it’s like a battery geek’s dream come true. I felt like a scientist in my own home lab!Oh, and did I mention it handles 11.1V / 3S battery packs like a champ? I used it on one of my RC car packs, and it was like giving my car a turbo boost. Other users are raving about this feature too – one guy even said his RC car now runs like it’s on rocket fuel. I can’t make this stuff up!But the real kicker? It’s super intelligent. I left it on overnight (oops) and it automatically stopped charging when the batteries were full. No more waking up to batteries hotter than my morning coffee. To sum it up, if you’ve got a collection of batteries that need some TLC, the XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger is your new best friend. It’s smart, versatile, and makes you feel like a battery-charging wizard. Trust me, you need this in your life – your batteries will thank you!

Great charger
Very nice charger, it has so many functions and is much more useful than just a single function charger. "UPDATE", I've been using this charger for a little over two years now and I really love this charger. It gives me so much more information about the condition of the batteries I test. The accuracy allows me to match cells when building or rebuilding battery packs. If you do any kind of lithium ion battery work this is one of the best tools you can get for that work.

To specification
Works well, could be more robust construction, a bit expensive.

Great charger, I definitely buy again 🙂.
I like this charger. The only thing that would have made this better is an app. So I could see how the batteries are changing from a distance and not keep running to the charger to see the results. Nevertheless I love this charger.

Went crazy after very lite use
I bought this towards the end of 2021. I already had a few chargers, some of them are 10 years old still working fine. A couple of nitecores and Xtars PBS2 I think its called, the 2 slot portable powerbank/charger plus various other battery specific chargers. I like the PBS2, I've had no problems with it and used it both as a charger and powerbank quite a bit. I liked the Dragon VP4 Plus at first, I tested some older cells which seemed to work fine and charged a few just to make sure everything worked. I have a decent collection of flashlights and a lot of batteries. I mainly bought this for its testing and refresh functions which I used a few times in the first week after it arrived. Since then it has mostly sat on my desk. I've used it occasionally, no more than 10 or 20 times since and only for charging. If I'm going to do something where I'll need lights or any of my other 18650, 26650 or 21700 powered devices I usually use one of my other chargers. They are all in the same place in my house together with all my batteries. This one stays at my desk. Some months ago (probably 6, I've had a busy year) I was in my office and I heard a beep which I wasn't expecting. I started looking around and find the VP4 Plus awake and doing things with no batteries in the slots and the test leads unplugged sitting in the pocket on the bag. I slid the bag off the charger and watched it as the individual slots showed charging for a few seconds and various charge percentages on the screen, then a slot would show full and change to green, then another would change to NIMH or back to Li and through 50%, 85%, 99% seemingly at random. It almost looked like it was in some kind of store function display mode. Except that it was turned off when this started and I was alone, no cat bumped it and it had no batteries in its bays. I unplugged it and it's been sitting waiting for me to do something with it since then. I've tried searching for some kind of master reset or something like that with no luck. I just plugged it back in, in my garage this time since I'm a little scared of it now. It's still doing the same things. I've tried getting in touch with the seller or xtar through the Amazon app but can't find how to do that other than to report fraud or something like that. I posted a question hoping the seller or xtar would see it. The answers other customers leave dont tend to be the most helpful in my experience. If your answer is, I dont know, never happened to me....... you probably shouldn't answer questions, just a suggestion. I've read that Xtar has great customer service so I'm testing that with an honest bad review. I've had it a little over 2 years but I've used it so little in that time that this really shouldn't be happening. It was plugged at my desk and I had it slipped inside its bag just to keep it from getting dusty. And my desk stays pretty clean regardless. It's in a room in my house with heat and air-conditioning so it's not like it's been exposed to high humidity or anything. Its been plugged in as I write this and it's beeped and "finished charging" without any batteries a few dozen times as I type thia review. I'll be unplugging it and sticking it in a drawer until I either hear something from Xtar or the seller. Or I throw it away, its definitely not safe to use it like this. 70$ is not a small amount for a 4 slot multi charger even with the extra functions. Hopefully they'll send me a replacement and I'll update my review if they do.
