Easy to use, lightweight, slim and affordable. There read and write speed are superb. Have used it it burn a few mp3 music cd's for the car. Worked perfectly and had my first cd burned and ready in minutes. Nice and quite and matches my laptop. Would recommend

Failed to work with USB 2.0 despite being advertised as such. Finally got it to work with a USB C port, which is fine as long as your PC has such a port.

I ordered this by mistake. I originally bought a caddy to put a second drive into my laptop and removing the DVD writer that hardly gets used. I though it would be a good idea to get an external enclosure for the DVD writer so I could still use it by plugging it into a USB port if I needed to. They were all roughly the same price but I liked the look of this one so I ordered it. When it came I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to open it and install my old DVD writer out of my laptop. I couldn't figure it out so I plugged it into my laptop's USB and pressed the eject button only to find that it is actually a DVD writer and not just an enclosure for my old one.It seems to work ok. I put a dvd into it just to try it out and it played fine with both my laptops. I have noticed it's a little noisy though. Sounds like a fan is blowing at full speed and it gives off the odd clunk noise whenever it's reading anything or seeking on a dvd. But it works, looks nice, and comes with a protective pouch so overall I'm quite please with my mistaken purchase. I should read the description properly before ordering stuff on Amazon.

Bought this for my mrs as her laptops drive stopped working. Really easy to set up and use. Reads dvd's really quick. I've not tried burning any dvd's yet but im sure it will be fine. Cheap to buy and got us up and running. The small pouch is also really good to store the drive in.

When i plug USB into my computer port (motherboard) nothing happens. The USB slot works as i tested my mouse in it so.. I dont know if it is supposed to but when plugged into a normal plug it still does not get any power :( Hope i can change to 5 stars soon!

My internal cd / dvd drive on my laptop stopped working so I bought the Revotek as a replacement external drive. Although I do subscribe to music streaming services, I’m still ‘old school’ when it comes to ripping cds for my music collection. My laptop recognised the Revotek immediately, as did iTunes, and I have successfully ripped a box set and watched a dvd. It seems to be well made and is certainly good value. I’m very happy with the Revotek and am happy to recommend it.

Well packed and arrived on time. Looks good and comes with a travel pouch. However when I tried it with my pc it didn’t read my discs. I tried it again in a Mac and it was picked up but wouldn’t read any discs. So unfortunately I had to return it and was refunded.

Really good little drive. Small, lightweight and fast. Works well with my laptop. Connected,plug and play. Used it to install windows on two of my old laptops and worked straight away. Love the free pouch. Great to keep the drive safe
