The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy: The Companion to Three Books of Occult Philosophy

Must have for the Occultist.
If you have The Three Books of Occult Philosophy and do not possess a copy of The Fourth Book this edition is easily accessible and readable. There is an edition translated by Dr. Skinner which is in a Hardback. This edition is just as good.

Tyson forges the "Fourth" into an excellent, workable tool
I have only just received Donald Tyson's excellent editorial working of "The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy" last night. I am simply amazed at the breadth of knowledge Tyson pours into each of the six major sections through extensive annotation. As if that is not enough, each of the six sections is also followed by a working practical analysis, which allows those who wish to put the work into operation, a much firmer ground to stand upon. There is also the grand scope of material to be examined through the bibliography, marking the immense effort and care Tyson has taken in greatly expanding the understanding of "The Fourth" in particular and the beauty of Medieval/Renaissance ceremonial magic in general. Five bright stars....Dan

Good quality and seems to be an authoritative translation.
If you're reading this, you probably already know what this book is and whether you'd want to purchase it. I can only say that this edition appears faithful and by most accounts is authoritative. The price is too good to pass up, I'm really impressed it's being sold so cheaply considering how voluminous it is and how much work went into its translation.Suffice to say that Agrippa's books are the most comprehensive source on occult matters that exists, and contains all manner of explanations of symbols, correspondences, and so on. It's hard to describe exactly what's inside the book since it's so vast and various, but it's a pretty staple work in western esotericism in general. There's pretty much no reason to not buy this.

Much Better Edition than the unannotated edition I'd previously bought
Much easier to read than the unannotated edition I bought several years ago. Llewellyn also thought about it and made it the same height as The Three Books of Occult Philosophy. It also helps that the same person who edited annotated The Three Books of Occult Philosophy edited and annotated this as well.

Must have book for any serious student of the occult
Worthwhile and accessible. Tyson has created a really useful book to study the works of Agrippa. Tyson's notes and explanations bring the book to life.

Great Book
Love Reading this book, I take it every where. Very well written with a couple of editing oversights. If you don't read Latin and Greek and you want to read this material, this is your book.
