Worked for what I bought it for
Bought this for a 3 day bike ride/camping trip during moderate weather. This fit the bill because it is light and can be packed into a small package for loading into my panier bags. The week of the trip, the temperatures got down into the mid-to-high 40's (f) at night. I had not intended to use this bag in temperatures that low (this was unseasonably cool for the area we were riding) but I was still able to get to sleep, though not the most restful sleep in the world. The pillow enclosure was nice because it supplied a pillow case for my inflatable pillow, and kept it from bouncing away when I moved, plus I could throw some added clothing in there for added mass in the pillow department. If I remember right, it is documented that this doesn't have a zipper, etc. the lower portion of the bag is sewn on the side, but then the top 2/3 are open. As a bigger guy, I did find it didn't leave a ton of overlap where it opened. I think it worked well as designed, and I wouldn't change anything (i.e. I think the intent is to be simple, i.e. no zipper), but if you happen to be out in weather that is a touch cooler than you anticipated, the resulting added ventilation is, shall we say, less than ideal.

Reasonable product for very reasonable price ~ but caveats!
I purchased this to keep myself warm in a small, unheated office space. Overall, it works reasonably well, although to keep my feet warm when the room is down to around 50 degrees F, I'm forced to wear multiple layers of socks with top layer of heavy wool knee high "slipper socks" before tucking my feet and legs into this cocoon. Call me a "wuss", but after growing up on the East Coast and spending several winters in the Midwest, I've developed a genuine dislike of feeling cold. One issue I have with this and other "convenient and inexpensive" Chinese import fabric items is the tag that informs me I should "Wash before use". This is ever so slightly disconcerting, as I have to wonder WHAT it is about these items that requires us to launder them before they are safe for us. This is never indicated.. we are simply told it is recommended to wash before using. I'd really like to know what might be in or on this fabric that makes it in some way unsafe to utilize straight out of the box. This is actually rather inconvenient and I'd be disinclined to give such an item as a gift, because the recipient can't just get comfy in this Camping Blanket..they are forced to do laundry first or put themselves at risk of suffering some mysterious fate. There is definitely SOMETHING about these fabrics when you first take them out of their packaging. They smell like an unpleasant chemical of some sort..but I've never seen this chemical identified on packaging. The same (smell) applies to the Travel Bag.. might be that I'm not the typical Travel Bag packer, but I often feel that someone like Houdini might have had a lot less difficulty rolling and stuffing this Camping Blanket into its Travel Bag. So I give up on neatness and leave it draped over my office chair.OK, there IS a second issue with these imported (at least, from China) fleece items, post-laundering: flammability. I had a candle burning in my office one evening, reached for something within a few inches of the flame and started hearing little crackling noises and smelling burning fiber. Stopped short of catching fire, but..Whoa! Not at all what I expected! Therefore, I strongly recommend to keep your distance from anything that is burning or very hot while cozying up in in this Camping Blanket. Be careful of proximity to radiant heaters, as well. This is most certainly NOT the ideal gift for a cigarette smoker and I doubt I'd ever take it camping, as I'd feel concerned if a spark were to move from a campfire to this Camping Blanket and cause it to melt (yes, melt. You've read me correctly). I don't know about camping in China, but if my feet get really cold while wearing one pair of socks at 50 degrees F, I can't think of many places where this Blanket alone would provide sufficient warmth. Somewhere in subtropical regions like Miami, Florida perhaps. Otherwise, use this as a layer of reinforcement with a heavier duty sleeping bag but DON'T depend upon it as a sole source of warmth. As for pilling fabric, I've seen very little..yet. I've only washed it once, before using (as directed). I'll need to put it through another washing pretty soon, so? Time will tell. I can amend this review. Glad I paid less than $8.00 US for this and was able to buy it via Free Super Saver Shipping..at full retail and/or with added shipping costs, I'd have definitely been um..nonplussed. : )

Good for 5 foot 10 student
My daughter is going abroad to study in London. Oddly, it is recommended on her packing list for the students to bring a nap sack or sleeping bag. They say it is for extra warmth in the drafty British housing and for guests to use. She is only taking 2 suitcases, so the challenge was on to find a light weight and small "sleeping bag."I read the reviews on this one and decided to make the purchase. This Dreamie Fleece is exactly what she needs. First I should say that she is 5 foot 10, so we needed one that was long enough to fit her. This one is plenty long for her! I would compare the thickness to a heavy flannel sheet. It packs nicely into the pouch and is about the size of a small watermelon. It weighs next to nothing so no worries for the suitcase. It is sewn up partly on the side, opening up the rest of the way to the top. The generous width gives plenty of room to move around in. (44x89) There is an opening flap to insert a standard pillow for comfort.I washed it and put it in the dryer on a light heat. It came out perfectly.Someone recommended using this under the blanket and sheets on the bed to create an extra warm pouch in chilly rooms. The Dreamie Fleece would probably not do much on top of the blankets since it is so light weight however I think that the cocoon under the blankets idea sounds nice and warm. If you were using this as a sleeping bag indoors in the winter, you would probably need some warm pajamas since this is just one light layer, but this would definitely work.I am very happy with this product.

Pretty good for what its worth
I bought two of these around a month ago and finally used one on a weekend trip to a friends beach house. Knowing there weren't sheets on the beds from previous trips, I wanted to have something between me and the mattress that god knows what's happened on. This product is just about what I expected in terms of quality for the price. The pillow pocket is a tad small and when stuffing in a pillow, I could feel some threads pop, but it held together fine. I'd suspect that these won't last super long, but at this price I feel like they are more than worth it even if you were to throw it away after your trip. I won't give them 5 stars because there is no doubt they are cheapish, but it has worked well for me and my intended purpose. Well see how it stands up to the washer...

Meh, it's okay.
I've just had mine a couple days. It is what it is. It is not a complicated product so there is not too much to say.On the PRO side:It covers you up.It has a pocket for a pillow (or something soft)It packs fairly small in the included bag.On the CON side:This thing generates the most STATIC of anything I've ever had. Prepare to be shocked :) It's more of an issue when packing and unpacking. It is 100% polyester. It is pretty thin so is not very warm but it does cover you up.
