Shank

I recently received my Pebble Steel as a birthday gift and it only came with the leather strap -- which is great, I usually wear watches with black leather bands so my wife rightly assumed this would make a good gift and she knew I was interested in the smart watch. What she didn't know was that the main reason I wanted the watch was to be able to use it as a range finder on the golf course and though the watch is waterproof the leather band wouldn't stand a chance in the rain and under hot, sweaty rounds in the summertime. I looked into getting a metal band from Pebble but apparently they haven't been able to produce enough of them yet to sell separately so I needed to find another solution. I ordered the Shank -- though as a golfer was a little suspect about the name -- and have been very happy. The silicone feels lightweight and soft yet sturdy against my skin and doesn't pinch, perfect for playing golf. Curious if it will stretch out over time but for now it feels great. The sizing and cut of each of the components are exact and fit together perfectly, very well made. The continuous row of beveled holes are both functional and stylish -- giving it a sporty, masculine look while also allowing air to flow through so it doesn't get too hot and sweaty underneath during those blazing hot days on the course. Having all those holes also gives me options to adjust the tightness of the band depending on if my wrist feels swollen or not under varying conditions. I like the branded tool that came with it and hope I manage to not lose it over time. Overall it complements the design of my Steel perfectly and gives me the option to do more with my watch than I would with just the leather band.

The material of the band is smooth and it has an almost stretchable feel to it, but at the same time feels strong and secure. The watch vibration is more pronounced with this strap than with the metal one. The strap fits perfectly on the actual timepiece with no gaps. The tool that came with it fits perfectly into the slots of the screws. I have not tried other straps but I feel that I can safely say that this is a well thought out strap that fits beautifully on the timepiece.

I got this along with my Pebble Steel to use it for running. Good quality and good looking - sets the watch off perfectly. Easy to install. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with the included screwdriver; I had purchased the Pebble brand steel bracelet at the same time, which happily came with a screwdriver as well. I ended up using that screwdriver instead.The band could be a touch longer for my ginormous wrists. They do sell a longer one on their website; I may get one in a different color down the road. This band does fit, but only goes through one of the keepers.

This is my first Amazon review, despite being an avid Amazon shopper. I chose to review this product because it is outstanding. (That's saying something...) It is quality, and it is a perfect companion to the Pebble Steel. The only complaint I have on this product is the screw-bit that came with the SHANK. My screw-bit did not work well, so I just picked up a precision screwdriver bits set at my local Walmart... no big deal. Overall, the SHANK watchband is a perfect compliment to the Pebble Steel. If you have a Pebble Steel, deffiently consider buying the SHANK!

This band is the perfect complement to my Pebble Steel. I like to run and exercise with my Steel, but the leather and steel bands just were not comfortable. After seeing the website for the Shank band, it appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. The band is sturdy and feels great on my arm. I wear my watch all day, and this band is really comfortable. Changing out the band was super easy and I have not gone back to my old bands since installing the Shank. For anyone looking for a well made, good looking band for their Pebble, you won't be disappointed with the Shank!

Excellent product and service. My Pebble Steel came with a leather strap which is very nice, but not very practical. I ride a road bike several times per week and use the Pebble to show me speed, distance etc. The leather strap soaked up sweat and was pretty for some time afterwards!My new Shank strap looks every bit as smart, but does not suffer from the same problem at all.The new strap arrived when expected and I am very happy with the whole process.

I absolutely LOVE my SHANK strap! It is exactly what I needed and the quality is superb. The fact that you get the screwdriver in the package is phenomenal. I had the new strap in and on my wrist in minutes. Would HIGHLY recommend this strap for anyone looking to use their Pebble Steel in a more active capacity where the fancy straps don't quite work! Great replacement for the stock leather band. I've been using this one for over a year now, and it still impresses me how comfortable it is, and how easy it is to swap back to the leather band for a more formal look. The included screwdriver is perfectly sized and has served me well for dozens of swaps. I ordered the orange one as well and it's just as nice.
