Installed this on my Pelican Ultimate 100 just fine. Screws were a bit long, so had to go to the hardware store to get shorter ones... Be advised that the screws are M6 Metric, which cost quite a bit more, at least at my store. 1/4" screws are just slightly too large to fit in the holes of the mount without drilling and the next size down was too loose. With that said, it was fairly easy to install, looks nice, and functions as it's supposed to. It even has a little notch at the top if you want to just set the pole in the cabin and have the top rest there.I removed 1 star due to the screw issue. The screws it came with would have stuck out way too far for a sit-in kayak.

I always thought a rod holder was a rod holder. I have bought a lot of rod holders in my time for fresh & salt water for personal and as a charter boat Captain. (12 years)These rod holders are UNBELIEVABLE!! The Engineering & Design is superior to anything I have ever seen. I will get some more.It will work & look good on any boat.

This is a high quality rod holder. I was trying to decide between this holder and the countless generic, no brand holders that are also for sale on Amazon. I'm so happy that I went with this holder. The price difference is almost nothing and this holder is so much better in quality and features than the no brand holders. This holder feels substantial as well. It feels rugged. It's got a rod lock feature that will prevent a rod from being yanked out of the holder and it's got a back stop feature that will allow you to place your rod at different depths in the holder. The holder mount that comes with the holder is fine for most applications but you can also purchase different style holder mounts for a wide variety of applications. So yeah, it's a nice rod holder. For the tiny difference in money, there is absolutely no reason to go with the no brand holders when you can get this one.

I accidently ordered 2 Hitorhike Fishing Rod Holders thinking I was getting 2 bases with it. I didn't read the description very well. It didn't have the mounts listed. I contacted them before I knew this and inquired about it and they showed me my error. BUT, they agreed to send me 2 mounts for FREE!! I was blown away! I have dealt with many manufacturers that take the attitude stating "We will tell you what we think is wrong" without listening to your advice. That can be frustrating and makes you want to go to another manufacturer. These folks know that they want return customers and good reviews so that people will not be hesitant to buy their product.Thanks,Mike

Love the quick release to remove the holders!I have Scotty rod holders on my Kayak but I actually like these better.The material and design are top quality.I installed these in 15minutes.

I already owned two of the rod holders (I have a couple of the RIB mounts) so these were just what I needed. Threw together some PVC pipes, spray-painted them, and put these rail-mounted rod holders on them and I have a convenient way to hold two more fishing rods on my kayak.

I ordered this pair of rod holders for my raft. I was pleasantly surprised at the apparent quality. While they haven't yet passed the test of time, they are well designed and built, appear to be sturdy and equal to or better than other rod holders I have purchased in the past at higher prices. Even the packaging is quality, each component being boxed with foam insert. My only regret is that this manufacturer does not appear to offer other mounting hardware for such things as electronics, etc. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in purchasing these.

The size seemed a little bit of overkill for the size of rods I normally use, but it does work great and seems to be very sturdy and designed well. Rotating cuff locks the rod in and I like that the holder is easy to remove when I'm not going to be using it. The only issue I had was that the screws included for the bracket were way too long for my application, hanging down into the kayak at least an inch. I simply measured and cut the bolts off quick as I didn't want to run to the hardware store.
