If you need to foray into the security camera arena, you will obviously be very reluctant to pay a high initial cost and also you do not know if the setup will work for you or whether you even need it or not. So obviously you priority is to pay as much less as possible and still have a decent setup. For me a decent setup starts with a single basic camera with bare minimum features which you need.The iZtouch SP009A wireless camera (not sure why the amazon listing says wired) which can be perfect to start with. It is an entry level IP security camera which gives you the ability to view the camera in operation over the internet using the companion mobile app. So lets see what this camera has to offer.Package Contents--------------------------In the package you get..--iZtouch Camera--MicroUSB cable--Charger--Wall Mounting screwsIsn’t that basic ? I bet it is.Camera Design---------------------The camera is actually a very slim one. Infact I thought how does this thing even work with such a small profile. Check the sideways picture to see how slim it is. And even with how slim it is, it houses the lens, MicroSD Card holder, charging port.On the back of camera is the speaker. On the side is MicroSD Card slot and bottom has the charging port.On the front are your lens and 6 infrared LEDs which aid in night vision. On the bottom, you have stand which can be used to incline the camera facing down, straight or up. But don’t tilt it too much since it otherwise falls. In order to fix this, you have to remove a small piece from the side of the lever to reveal screw and tighten it for a perfect angle and then it won’t fall.Initial Setup------------------Initial setup of the cameras is very simple. You just scan the QR code on the camera box or the user manual and it will take you to your OSes app store and let you download the “AP Cam” app. Once app is downloaded, ensure your camera is connected to power. Wait for like 10 seconds.Inside the app, ensure you have selected “SP” and click ADD. Now click “Smartlink” and enter your wifi information, you should hear a slot machine type sound from the camera. Done. Yes the setup is done. It should show you the camera number (from the back of camera) and default password 888888 needs to be entered.Performance---------------I am very much surprised by the performance of this little camera. The resolution is max 720p and in the companion app, the video clarify was excellent. You can also set the quality lower to SD or below if you want to watch the video over a slower 3G connection. I tried over my 3G connection and video quality was excellent there too. Just that the response time might be slow and little delay in video.On the software side, the camera app has lot of options like taking a snap, start video recording (on the MicroSD Card if available). You can even talk to the person in same room as camera even if you are somewhere away, using the app. Just press the Mic button and speak, the person at camera end will hear your voice and he can even talk to you using the camera. This is because it has 2 way audio. I find this feature immensely useful.The night vision actually works. I had my doubts. But the night vision works well and illuminates the video properly. Overall I am thoroughly impressed by this little camera and for the price it is unbeatable.*I received this camera in exchange of a honest and unbiased feedback and all my opinions are based on my usage of the camera.

I bought two of the iztouch security cameras. After about two weeks I heard a loud humming noise coming from one of the cameras. The AC power supply went bad. Rather than go through the trouble of sending back, I replaced the AC power supply. The camera has a very good ability to see in the dark. You can not place the camera in a window to see outside. There is a glare which prevents seeing out most of the day and at night through the window. You can monitor and hear in a room however there is static in the sound. The Camera functioning however can not be always be counted on. A couple weeks ago when I went online to check the house, all three cameras were off line and I could not see the rooms. I was away and concerned about what could have happened to the house. When I got home the internet was working however could not get the cameras to work. I had to reboot the modem and router to get them to work. This may not have been the cameras or software fault and perhaps the internet lost power. Not sure if problem with APP. The cameras have a red LED on the front to show they are on. This makes the cameras visible especially at night. I put a piece of black tape over it. I gave them three stars because of the low price and they do function.After three weeks the second camera power supply went. I bought a replacement in five below for $ 5.00. 1 Amp

For $39 this camera is amazing! The sound quality definitely needs work BUT the installation was a snap and the connectivity is crazy easy. I can view this camera from anywhere I travel. I have even been to my parents in the middle of the mountains and woods far from civilization as I know it and it comes right on with a live feed! The picture quality is mad clear for a camera this price. I now have two and another on the way! The third is to replace a similar camera that constantly drops feed and has major lag, very annoying and a waste of my portable device battery! Night vision is fabulous too. Keep in mind if the room these are in isn't all that bright the night vision will always kick in, day or night. I can not say enough about how awesome this little camera buddy is. I watch my dogs through out the day and keep an eye on my home when I am away. Their kind of fun to play with too. I set each camera to record at different times. If you hold on the pic of the camera in the app a little menu will appear and you can change the settings right from there or view video. I use my Samsung S6 with this device everywhere I go, never had an issue. The second camera set up in seconds....SECONDS. All three of these are/will be viewable from the same app and very easy to switch from camera to camera. There is a red light on the front that stays on solid when the camera is not being viewed and blinks when it is being viewed. The SD card was a little tricky to figure out but with a few tries and a gentle hand I got it in the right way (which is facing backwards from the front of the camera). Instructions for the use of this camera=FAIL but luckily it is pretty simple to figure out once I got the hang of it. I haven't had any wifi issues so far, my house is pretty solid so my wifi needs a booster. I just love this little thing. The customer assistance is pretty good as well. I have emailed Innolife a few times with questions and issues and the response time is immediate, cordial and helpful. Pics are of a bright day and an evening shot. Peace!
