On this very tight and somewhat diverse followup to their self titled debut, Freaks features former Hallows Eve vocalist Doyle Bright taking over for Bruce Corbitt on lead vocals. Every second of each song is a bone crushing, head banging rush of pure metallic adrenaline. Mandatory listening, Rigor Mortis is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre of Metal!

Classic Rigor Mortis
Although this isn't a full EP, ( only 5 songs ) it is definitely worth getting if you're a Rigor Mortis fan. Doyle Bright sings so fast you'll need the lyric sheet, included.

Understated Thrash Band!
had this and their debut releases on cassette tape, slowly been getting all my tapes on CD or digital and this was crossed my path. I still listened to the cassette tape (yes I am old!) because my car still has a cassette tape stereo. But really wanted this on my iPod, so now I have it. Oh yeah, I actually cooked for this band back in late 80's or early 90's (I am old cannot remember the exact date) at a Sizzler where I worked. I was listening to their debut album at the time all the time and they stopped in while their caravan was getting repaired next door. I got their autographs on a Sizzler order sheet and still have it to this day!! first question they asked me when I stopped at their table, how for is Plainfield WI. If you don't know Plainfield WI, then you are not a fan, well you might still be, it's okay, go ask Alexa!

WARNING!! proceed w/caution
beware of no track listings.this is a 25 min.5 song ep.while this does'nt effect my opinion of this product ,it might have propted me to put this one off if i had known.anyway i ordered this after having "vs. earth" for awhile.i was curious about their earlier stuff but it was always hard to find cheap.well i guess they've been reissued cause they're now affordable. "freaks"is a solid effort w/a more serious approach than on "vs. earth".i got the sence (while listening to "vs. earth") that this band was capabal of yeilding great thrash."freaks" confirms my suspicion. trax 3,4 & 5 are instant thrash classics.
