Revised review. This can opener broke after opening a few cans. What I thought was great turned out to be a lemon. Revised on May 10, 2016. Original review - I wanted something easy to use and noise free to open canned goods. I replaced an electric can opener several times and just gave up on finding one that did not make a loud commotion. It is not as heavy duty as I thought it would be from the reviews I read, but what the heck it is smooth and does the job. Considering I do not open many cans - I think this can opener will last me a life time.

I am very disappointed with this item. One month after receiving it, it is no longer working. The gears wont turn at all, maybe something is stripped causing this issue. But it is no longer eligible for returns or replacements. This was a very disappointing product.

Worst can opener I have owned! Turns extremely hard, making can-opening difficult.Today this can opener just broke! The gears are made of soft metal which has worn to the point of being useless. Not worth your time.

I spent the extra money on this, thinking it would last, and save me money in the long run. It broke faster than the $1 can opener.
