White Labs WLP775 English Cider Yeast

Wonderful flavor left in the cider low alchohol content but it keeps all the apply goodness I'm looking forIt's a top fermenting yeast it floats so leav room at the top dont fill all the way to the neck

This yeast quickly fermented in my laundry room at room temperature and completed primary fermentation in less than two weeks. As I racked it I had a taste and it had no sulfur flavor as advertised and I was temped to bottle it right then. Leave some head space though, it makes a good head when its rocking and rolling. Good apple flavor.Midwest initially forgot to ship my order so it was late but they shipped it rush and it made it a day or two late is all. I had to call and give them the wtf speech. They also shipped an additional shipment of yeast which I didn't order so I had to make an additional batch to keep it from going to waste. Oh well, more cider.

The English Cider Yeast makes a great tasting cider. I am using it in a variety of ways to help add flavor to what I am fermenting. I will be using it in beer soon in expectation that it will add robustness to the stouts I prefer.

A great product for a reasonable price. This is the only English style cider yeast I can find anywhere. I made a 5 gallon batch of hard cider from fresh cider apples with a bargain brand of dry brewer's yeast. It tasted way off, I am sure many people would be happy with it but to me it had a terrible aftertaste and didn't come out anything like a dry, crisp English style cider. I used this twice and I didn't have any bad aftertaste and I got what I had expected, dry and crisp with a very refreshing finish. It cultured nicely in a starter of straight cider from the press. On my third batch!

Midwest Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies cider yeast worked well. White Labs WLP775 English Cider Yeast was the product i reviewed.
