Last of the Incandescents...
Unfortunately, there aren't many choices remaining for incandescent light bulbs. I wasn't looking for a yellow bulb, but it seems to be working just fine.

Very nice incandescent light bulbs
I have older motion detector lights that are 17 years old and do not like the new LED Light Bulbs at all…. Lol. These incandescent light bulbs work excellent in the older light fixtures.

About 30% effective
Thought it would eliminate the bugs but still many attracted to it. Cut them down a bit but not exactly as planned. Light mounted right by my outside door so I still have to limber up and count to three for the worlds fastest exit and entrance times. Hope another brand will work better.Moths especially seem to love them, especially the big ones that look like they could carry you away. My cat does a better job in getting rid of them than these bulbs.....Don't waste your money on these. I am still bugged by this purchase.

Bulbs are great, packaging is atrocious.
These bulbs are pretty good in that I use a lot of them for outside lighting and they hold up very good. The problem is the packaging. The likelihood that you will receive them damaged due to inadequate packaging is very high. I would have given it more stars if not for the packaging. You just don't know what you are going to get. As it stands not I won't be buying anymore. If the vendor stood behind the product and packaging better maybe I would reconsider. Buy at you own risk.

Great as Fruit Tree Heat Lamps, Too!
I didn't use these for their intended purpose, but as a heat source to keep my tented fruit trees alive through their first winter here in 6a. I liked the lights rather than ceramic radiators because I could see if they were working. I'd previously used indoor 100w incandescent bulbs but those had a high burn out rate, maybe because I'd turn them on when they were at sub-zero temps. These lamps are high quality, well built, and outdoor rated, and they worked great. I used them 24/7 for almost 3 weeks in below freezing weather and not one burned out.

Has decreased the number of bugs hovering around the back door light
It’s been over a year since I purchased this Westinghouse bug light. I installed it in a completely exposed fixture next to my back door and it has been used daily.Since we live in the Gulf Coast region, we have bugs flying around all during the year. When I had regular flood lights in place, it seemed that every time I opened the door, one of the hovering bugs would get inside. I saw an immediate improvement once I put this yellow bulb in place. It provides enough light for me to see the yard as well as I did with the white flood lights, but the flying bugs do not seem as attracted to the less intense yellow color.

Floodlight Bulbs-Bug Deterrent
I am pleased with these bulbs that I put into my outdoor motion activated fixtures. They replaced yellow bulbs that were flatter on the surface and thus somewhat difficult to remove. Since these bulbs have a more buxom surface, they are easier to screw-in and will be easier to remove. They provide a very good light and because they are yellow, they do not attract as many bugs (what the scientific explanation if for this phenomena, I do not know). I cannot yet predict how long they will last, but they were very inexpensive compared to the price I paid for my initial CFLs in yellow (they lasted about three-years).Westinghouse Lighting Corp #04409 100w Yel Bug Spec Bulb

Hard to find
These are getting hard to find these days. They do an alright job of keeping bugs away, but not 100% effective. Hey also put out very little light. One was delivered busted, but amazon too care of me.
