Surprisingly good performance in wild trout fishing in Sierra stream. This isn’t the most sensitive rod, but still allows to feel the fish biting. Also it took some time to get used to this rod to be able to cast lure exactly where I wanted, but then I was able to cast pretty accurately. I caught my limit in hour or so using this rod with size 20 Pflueger Triton reel, 4lb test Trilene mono, Carolina rig with 1/4oz tungsten bullet sinker, hook #8 and a nightcrawler.I bought this rod specifically for a motorcycle camping trip, and I such capacity it worked super well. It breaks down to really compact package that can fit in the typical motorcycle case.One thing that can make this rod even greater - marks on the joins to allow perfect alignment of the guide rings. It should be cheap modification and a great usability improvement

I've purchased three of these and two have had the rod tip break which is pretty annoying. I wish it was more durable

Quite a nice rod. Well constructed. Perfect travel rod. Really small when broken down. Definitely a lighter rod. ML rating is accurate. Wish they had a Medium rated rod and also in shorter lengths like 5'6" and 6'. It would be nice to have some alignment marks on the rod so you can quickly put it together with all the eyelets perfectly straight. As it is now, you have to fiddle around with the pieces to get them straight. Also, my 2.1M (6'89" ) measures 7' which is not a deal breaker but to be noted. With five pieces, they can get a little loose after casting for a long time, but it is the compromise when you have such a small compact travel rod. The rod has great feel and for the price is a very good quality rod.Update: Since the rod is lighter rated than I prefer, I modified my rod to stiffen it up. Used a golf club building technique. Cut the tip shorter and installed a new top eyelet and turned it into a Medium rod. Now it is much better. Able to use heavier baits and rod doesn't feel like a noodle. I have caught some of my biggest bass on this rod and it has performed well.

So I usually use a very high-end Rod for mainly bass and panfish. I needed something very compact for dual sport motorcycle camping gear. So I can’t believe how sensitive these are even though they are five separate pieces. A nice graphite blank that has held up with no issues through two seasons so far.

So, on the outside, I liked it, put it away for a future camping trip. So we went to a mountain lake a week ago and I was looking forward to trying out my new rod. Put it all together, put my ultralight spinning reel on it with 2-3 lb test mono, made sure that my drag was set for small fish, pulled off about 3 feet of line and the rod just snapped. Ok, next time bring a backup, lesson learned, you can’t trust anyone anymore to make a quality product and back it up, which of course they refuse to do. Buyer beware, there is zero quality control in this product. None of the ferrels inserted properly, or fully seated. It bound to fail,Im out, they won’t back up their product, it’s an obvious quality failure, not abuse or just breakage,Grrrrr. I would suggest that you stear away from this product and anything else that they sell.
