Could Not Be Happier
I installed two of these vents in a custom built shed. I originally bought two vents from a big box store and was not happy with how flimsy they were. I returned those vents and purchase these. Extremely easy to install, and with a proper cut hole and caulk spread all the way around the nail fin, these look great, are durable, and are rain resistant. I have recommended them to friends for similar installations.

good for a toughshed
I have a 16x8 roughshod, I put 4 of these in. Since the design will not allow for center installation, referring to the shed, side by side worked well. I thought they were overpriced. Installation is easy enough if you are handy and can read a tape measure and make a straight line to follow. I got way more ventilation with these for sure. I recently also installed a solar powered 8" exgaust fan and this has really cooled off the shed and the higher areas for sure. Good product overall.

Worked well for my storage shed
Fairly easy to install but it needed a screen to keep out bugs. I made some from a screen door screen I had. I hope they hold up a little lighter plastic than I would liked.

Nice vent!
This is a nice vent! Solid plastic. I used it to add to my shed as a wall vent down low to add better air circulation. Check the pic out 😎. I put a fat bead of caulking behind it so it should be waterproof, but I may add some trim around it to protect the edges further. Looks nice 👍🏼

Gable Vents
I used these on an outdoor shed to allow for some air movement in the summer. They worked perfectly. Easy to install and look good. Hopefully they endure a harsh winter.

Plastic could be higher quality
If you’re building a shed on the cheap this may not be a bad way to go. The unit and screen are molded as one however, so there is no removing the screen, and punching a hole in the screen probably means a new vent... which again for the price is no biggyThe plastic is flimsy and I wouldn’t take bets on how it handles UV in intense sun situations, and may be brittle in extreme cold.I’m okay with the purchase but you might want to check similar size vents made of metal at the big box stores. For the extra money you get a lot more quality.

and should easily outlast the shed's wooden materials
Worked out perfectly for the new garden shed I built. Durable plastic, that will never rust, never need paint, and should easily outlast the shed's wooden materials. An extra bonus was the fact that the vents had anti-bug louvers to prevent the entry of unwanted pests. The actual rear flanged extension was not exactly 8" x 8" however. It was more like 8" high x 8-1/2" wide, so the rough opening that was required was closer to 8-1/4" by 9-1/4", but it created no problem for me as I always check needed hole sizes twice prior to cutting.Easy to directly install square drive screws in the corners without pre-drilling tooThe quality, price and overall value can't be beat. Love this product and would certainly purchase it again for similar future projects.

Perfect Coop Vent
I bought two of these to use as ventilation for the chicken coop we built. Very easy to install. We cut a hole to size, applied a bead of silicone to the outer lip and screwed into place. The vent comes with little markings at each corner that you will puncture to screw through. They’ve been up for two months, and no issues so far. (UPDATE: we’ve now had them up for over a year and a half and they look the same as the day we installed them!) They are plastic but seem to be sturdy, and at this price point if they wear over the years, it would be easy to buy new and replace. But they seem to be as sturdy as other vents on our home. Highly recommend.
