This looked like a great idea on paper, but not so much in person. As previous reviewers indicated, it's very hard to get out of the box - which would be no big deal except that the base piece (which folds in half) has some extremely sharp points on it, so it's not so hard to skewer yourself working with this item. Also, although the black matte finish is attractive, reading the fine print, this item is simply steel (NOT) stainless steel, painted black, so it's not hard to imagine that over time high heat combined with the grease of the meat could wear away the paint - which you would then be consuming. Very hard to get product safety data on something like that. We just didn't feel it was worth the risk, so decided to return.

Great concept, but it has drawbacks. You cook one side perfectly, but the skewers are completely round, so when you try to rotate them, they wind up rolling back over. You can probably cut your pieces large enough so that they rest on the grill to keep from spinning, but the whole point of this was to keep the skewers off the grill to prevent flare ups. Perhaps if they weren't completely round skewers it might hold better.

This is a real nice product. Light weight, foldable and keeps the food up off the main grill. I like it and would buy it again. In the little cookbook they said to set up the Shish Kabob and but it in the over first and then on the grill. I never did that before and it's a good idea, although now I have to light the oven AND the grill. But it works!

This grilling rack looked promising, except that I neglected to factor in the effect of gravity. It is almost impossible to skewer a bunch of vegetables, meat and whatever else without one side of the skewer being heavier than another. When laid into the grill frame, the skewer will rotate so that the heaviest part is on the bottom. There is no way to actually turn the skewer to even out the cooking. The skewer will always roll back to its original position, and you get food that is charred on one side and uncooked on the other. If anyone has a solution for this problem, please post it!

We have a small gas grill, a Q100. The one other grill that was small enough was too small. This one does the job.

Bought as a gift for my bf he loves it. Just wished it were a bit larger so that the kabobs were easier to turn

I finally was able to use this over July 4th weekend! it made everything that is difficult about grilling kabobs, EASY! i highly recommend this product..and i will be grilling more kabobs due to this cool tool!

Did not hold up on grill. You could not turn kabobs and set was not stable.
