Take your InstaMorph projects to the next level with an InstaMorph pigment pack! These pigment pellets have been specially formulated for InstaMorph Moldable Plastic. They are super easy to use and the results are even more amazing. These pigment pellets are super powerful too. With one or two pellets, you can color an entire tablespoon of InstaMorph. We've included enough black in this bag to color almost 4lbs of InstaMorph. Back in black! You've asked for it, and we've answered. No more silly colors you said. Just give me more black! So here it is. No Mess Unlike powder or liquid dyes, these pigments only activate when heated and folded into warm InstaMorph, making them the cleanest solution for coloring your moldable plastic. Made in the USA All of our pigments are made in the USA and specifically manufactured to work especially well with InstaMorph moldable plastic. Instructions 1. Heat some water to 150+ degrees F. 2. Pour white InstaMorph pellets and an appropriate number and color of pigment pellets into the water. 4. Wait approximately two minutes or until white InstaMorph pellets turn clear. 5. Remove from the water and get rid of any excess liquid. 6. Knead and fold pigment pellets into white InstaMorph until color is fully dispersed. This may require InstaMorph to be reheated to 140 degrees a few times. 7. Form into desired shape with your hands, tools, molds, or any other means necessary. 8. Once you’ve got your InstaMorph creation finalized, let it cool to room temperature and use.

Perfect for Instamorph projects needing black or shades of gray coloring
I asked Instamorph about the availability of a black-only pigment a few months ago, and I'm very happy they now offer this. Most of my projects require white, black, or shades of gray. This suits my need perfectly! And as they note in the description and pictures, just a few pellets goes a long way. I'd not used the pigment pack before, and I was concerned about whether it would be messy. It is not! As you knead the warm instamorph in your hands absolutely none of the color transfers to your skin. Instamorph brand is the best quality moldable plastic out there, and this pigment pack is a great complement and much easier than painting, and it's of course reusable/remoldable with the color remaining intact. I've tried other moldable plastic brands, but they are just not the same quality or consistency. And for the record, this is a real review for product that I have purchased from amazon with my own $$$ (i.e. no free product in exchange for a review).

Still playing with it. Hardens well; however, not much working time with the pliable plastic before it cools and hardens. Then again, this is the first time that I have used InstaMorph - Moldable Plastic, so I might be doing something wrong that is shortening the allowable working time with the pliable plastic before it cools and hardens. I have to say, after the pliable/heated plastic cools and hardens, it appears to be very, very durable! I guess I'll just have to go with the trial and error until I get a handle on working with this stuff.

Fixed my Chandelier for pennies!
I love this stuff! I fixed a chandelier in my dining room by wrapping a bead of melted Instamorph around one of the (used-to-be and now is again) upright light sockets! Costs pennies. Took five minutes. I wish I would have known about this stuff years ago when whichever of my boys caused the problem in the first place!

Doesn't take much to go super dark.
Follow the directions and keep in mind you can always go darker if you reheat the piece. Using too much is a waste.

Four Stars
Required a lot more pellets than the instructions stated. But the resulting build could get none more black.

Hard to work with but cool for small parts.
This stuff is not that easy to mold. it's great for small pieces. But definitely not large ones. It cools very quickly and it's hard to heat up with a heat gun on large sizes. I'm going to try warbla next time. I also burned my fingers several times after pulling it out of the almost boiling water
