Great toy for a four year old!
Gave the bow and arrow gun over the holidays to a co-workers kid(age four) he's been playing with it for almost twi months now! He loves the versatility

Perfect for my aspiring engineer / archer!
Very cool toy - both educational and fun! When I saw this, I knew it would be perfect for my 7 year old aspiring engineer / archer. He loved building it, though he needed my help. The instructions are very clear, but there are A LOT of pieces and steps. I showed him which pieces to use, and he was able to put most together. We actually both really enjoyed building it. It was amazing how it came together. Then he had a fully functioning bow to play with! The bow includes 4 clips for the extra "darts" to attach to the bow so they don't get lost.Note: The "darts" are shot with a Nerf-gun-like mechanism, not a bow to pull back on. This was actually easier than aiming and using a bow. So a plus for ease of use, but a minus in that it took away from the feeling of using a bow. Also the darts hit pretty hard. It packs some power, so I definitely recommend using outside and reminding children not to shoot their siblings!Also the product claims to build 4 different items (only one at a time), but only instructions for the bow were included. You must go online to access the instructions for the other 3 models (and then print in color). It would have been very nice to include the instructions for each one. But then again, my son has been using the bow every day since he built it, so perhaps he wouldn't be willing to disassemble it to build another model!
