Functional, easy to use. Works as specified. Very light and compact.I am discovering new uses for them.Initially I bought a set for the exterior of my house. Then I found that these little guys work quite well inside the house too.I installed them inside the house under the Velux Suntunnel skylights. They recharge quite OK through that diffused light.These units use a standard 18650 Li-Ion battery cell with 2200 mAH capacity inside.So, it is easy to pop in another freshly charged 18650 Li-Ion battery cell, if needed in a hurry.You can get 4 of the 18650 Li-Ion cells for $11 here on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016ZPBHAK/When I go for my evening walk in the woods, I used to have a LED headlight on me.Now, I am using one of these solar lights, hung with a string around my neck.It lights up the path in front of me nicely, as a wide-angle flood, instead of a narrow beam.

Ever have trouble at the front door at night? You know, fumbling with keys into the door lock while juggling an armful of other things? We did...I ordered these lights in the hope of being able to navigate the walkway to the front door and get the key into the lock.One of these solar lights is just the ticket! It gathers sunlight during the day to power the internal batteries via the solar panel. The sensor detects when it gets dark, and the led panel emits a soft light, perfect for porch lighting.There is a motion detector that catches movement when you walk up, and the soft light brightens and stays at that intensity while there is movement, then goes back to a soft light.The perfect answer for our use was to simply set it on the ground outside the front door. It gathers plenty of power there, and sitting on the ground- when the light brightens, it is well below eye level. It sends light at an upward angle about knee level and the "spill over" of light is just perfect to see the door locks! Of course, you could also screw it into the wall or use Command Strips to stick it to a door frame...but we rather the light is on the ground and virtually unseen until lit.This light is a great surprise! It gives a great amount of free lighting and lasts all night!

inexpensive, lightweight, two mounting holes on top tab, mounted to wood with two 3/4in dry wall screws, got the 3M mounting tape but didn't use it....found good locations where I could mount with screws into wood. They have only one program...dusk to dawn at low output combined with the motion sensor changing to high output when motion is detected. NO multi mode or multi program. The batteries are replaceable but the unit back plate must be removed to swap out batteries which may mean dismounting the unit to do so, frequency of change is estimated to be 2 yrs gen use. SO ...... a very good purchase for the price....if you 'got' to have the multi program.....expect to pay more....these are simple black plastic...so mount them up high

These are absolutely the best!They stay on at night, all the time, but on low power.Then, when motion activated, they turn themselves on automatically.They are very bright, when on all the way!They were very easy to mount.I would definitely purchase these again!

Very bright, white light, high quality. I mounted these on my south side porch columns. They took a day to charge and then light up nicely. They have a two-light function, one more dim and then very bright when they sense real motion. The only bummer is that they are screwed in directly: there is no way to pull off to replace a battery without unscrewing, but I guess that is what I'll have to do.

these are amazing.. so bright!!. I have a long driveway.. I put them along driveway and when cars come up.. poof.. lights come on . My visitors and my family like them.. I ordered 3 more sets ( full price as I got these on a lightening deal)

Very nice lights. I bought 24 of them a few months ago to put along my driveway, and I was worried that because they are below trees they wouldn't get enough sun light to properly charge. But actually I have had no issues at all, they hold the charge the whole night without a problem, even during the winter months with less hours of sun light.I had a problem with a light, but the seller replaced it very quickly at no charge.One potential improvement to the light would be an increased range of the motion sensor. The light by default is in a power saving mode - still bright enough to clearly mark the path. When you get close to it, it becomes brighter - but you need to be pretty close for it to light up.

These lights are a solid buy. Dim function provides nice ambiance to our backyard, while also giving us safety with the bright motion detection sensors. You'll love them. Work great even in foggy Pacifica, CA.
