Good product
Initially I was disappointed but worked out he comfort issue by adjusting the ear set, then The left ear was not working but I discover that the unit I plugged into was not turned up. Problem solved. This set works well for computer work and listening to music. Price is awesome.

Very Good Headphones
Can't do better for the price. Very sturdy and built for hard use. Sound quality obviously not as good as hundred dollar phones but is fine for talking books, radio, etc. Two great features are individual volume controls and stereo/mono switch. The stereo/mono switch enables you to hear sound from both ears when the phones are plugged into a non-stereo source like a portable radio.

Adequate for the price.
#1 : if you think your gonna get concert-hall like quality sound for a lousy ten bucks, forget it!!! No, but they do provide fairly decent sound. I use them mostly to hear conversation, not music on my Kindle 10 Fire tablet, and except for one of the volume controls that only works at full volume(so I turn the tablet's volume down to adjust it) they're adequate. It's funny, it's really hard to find any headphones that have individual headphone volume controls at higher prices, so these are really a pretty good deal!!!

Tough as Nails
Our adult autistic son loves to watch videos while wearing headphones. The problem is that he's very rough on them. No matter which ones we tried, his headphones would last a month at best before he destroyed them. We bought these 9 months ago and they are still in perfect working order. If you're looking for high-fidelity, audiophile-quality sound, you're looking at the wrong headphones. That's not what these are made for. These are the ones that schools use so that children won't destroy them. That is their main selling point. These headphones are very stiff but are adjustable. They seemed fairly comfortable when I wore them, but that was only for a few minutes to set them up. They are better than the school headphones from the 70s and 80s. Our son doesn't seem to have any comfort issues with them, but they are heavy and bulky. You definitely wouldn't use them for jogging.A note about setting these up: there are volume knobs on each ear that were turned all the way down when we got them. These can get just as loud as a normal set of headphones. If you're setting them up for a child or someone with disabilities, you'll need to test them yourself to make sure that they aren't too loud. I considered using epoxy or hot glue to lock the volume knobs in place so that he couldn't make them too loud, but I was able to set the volume on his computer and take away his ability to adjust it, so I didn't have to do that. Now he can turn them down, but not up.All in all, great headphones if durability is your main concern.

which is nice, but its not a coiled style cable
Work well for the ham radio, and seem well built. The cable is covered in braid, which is nice, but its not a coiled style cable. Not a big deal but I wish that was in the description or picture. I'm not hard of hearing so I wish it only had one volume knob or an option to use one as the master. Adjusting both to the same levels everytime you want to change the volume has been an annoyance I will have to fix with an external pot.

Very good set of basic headphones.
These headphones have a 3-contact 1/8 inch jack (Left speaker, Right speaker and Center common) ground. Most headphones currently available have a 4-connector jack (Right speaker, Left speaker, Microphone input and Common ground). I run my video consoles and DVD player through a receiver. Most audio receivers have a headphone jack that uses a 3-contact connector. Pluging 4-connector headphones into this 3-connecton jack doesn't work. Also, most receivers use a 1/4 inch headphone jack. I have tried to use those 1/8 to 1/4 adapters and they still have the same problem: a 4-connector plug being inserted into a 3-connector jack. You can sometimes make it sort-of work if you pull the 4-connector plug out a little, but it wants to snap all of the way in. (annoying)The bottom line: these headphones plug in without any problem. The only reason that I gave these 4 stars is that the foam in the center where your ears rest could be a little softer. It's a little stiff and the ear pocket that is formed by the outside padding is a little shallow. These aren't deal killers. It would have been perfect if they made some some suttme changes.Sound quality. These aren't audiophile quality (thus the price) but they are easily adequite for my dvd's movies and my PlaystationAll-in-all I'm very pleased with these and I would buy them again.

Suprising, decent quality, actually over ear.
Finally, landed an old fashioned library style true over ear headphone.Stupid school system ruining education one hypochondriac at a time. Kids cleared through a half dozen headphones which were more expensive and less durable than this one. These other ones have corny designs where all this quality material relies on a single stupid piece of plastic which inevitably breaks. We like this headphone, more durable, has some actual metal in there. They could have done a better job by subbing out all the dang plastic with more metals though. Is it really necessary to use this much plastic? Still was a better choice than others and actually does go over an adult sized ear.
