TUQ140WX001 Undercabinet Light, 48-1/8-Inch

House was built in 1993 and I was looking for an exact match one to replace one that quit working in my butler's pantry. (My cabinets had been painted underneath and I have a duplicate on the other side). The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because it has a slight hum compared to my older one. Sometimes hums loudly upon first turning it on. The loud hum goes away either by leaving it on, or turning it off and turning it back on. Measurements are correct.

My first warning should have been that this was an un-returnable closeout item. I guess they told me up front that they didn't have faith in their product. I tested it and it seemed okay. But shortly after I installed it, it started buzzing. Then the bulbs started flickering at random. Every third time I turn the lights on, it would buzz even louder and there would be no light. I tested with several bulbs, and it had the same issue. My takeaways: Avoid American Fluorescent at all costs. And never buy a closeout product.

This was to replace an exact light I had hardwired under my kitchen cabinets. The original was smashed when I had new counter tops put in. The light set up in minutes and works great on the first click of the button (which I had to buy separate). The light cover is hard to line up perfectly and gets frustrating to slip in. Once it's in you're fine. It's bright and helps me see when washing dishes and cooking.

Perfect to replace one that was broken in our new/ used home. Quiet, comes on quickly, and with the bulb I bought at Lowes, it's perfect.
