FINALLY, A SIMPLE 1 MODE ON/OFF POWERFUL FLASHLIGHT. Seriously why is this so hard? I want on and off, not a million freaking modes to click through.Thank you samlite!!

Like many others, I recently bought one of the many brands of LED flashlights that claim to have "5 modes." While that sounds great, they all suffer from the fact that there is one button that cycles through the 5 modes continuously. In other words, when you need the "bright beam" (which you were just using), when you turn the flashlight back on, you get low beam. Or worse, you may get the strobe.Or the SOS. Every time you turn it on, you have to click, click, click and cycle through.But I didn't need a strobe. Or an SOS. Or a low beam. All I wanted was a bright flashlight that worked simply: push the button, the light comes on. Push it again, the light goes off. Simple.With this light, I found what I needed. Granted, there is no focus lens (a nice feature of the "5 mode" lights), but the light is incredibly bright and illuminates easily a hundred feet or more. It would be nicer if it had a replaceable battery option (as in the "5 mode" lights) rather than simply a rechargeable, but the Li Ion battery seems to last a long time. The charger is small and the light comes with a nice holster.All I want or need is a bright flashlight that comes on and off. This one fits the bill.

Great little flashlight. The brightness is amazing considering its small size. The fact that the battery can be recharged and reused over and over is a huge money-saving feature. I've only used it a few times, so its durability and long-term dependability is unknown at this time. I bought three of these -- one for myself and two for Christmas gifts. Price Paid: $23.95 ea.

No discounted rate for me for an "honest" review. I call it like I see it. First off I really like the packaging. The holster is nice as well. It also came with a wrist strap that I took off. I don't need it and it made the flashlight harder to get into the holster. It's very bright but I don't think it's 800 lumens. LED lighting is bright looking directly into them (don't look directly into them), but they don't illuminate an area they way incandescent lighting do. But I'm impressed with it's lighting.It's not perfect, I wish it had a docking station where you didn't have to remove the battery to recharge it. I would have liked the body to be encased in rubber especially around the lens. It looks like it could damage pretty easily if it's dropped. Finally, the on/off button at the bottom seems a little difficult. I have to push it in it's "sweet spot" or it won't turn on or off. I worry the switch could go bad at some point.Overall I like it so far. I use a flashlight often in my work and I have been through quite a few trying to find the right one. I'm sure some other flashlight will come along and wow me but for now I'm done looking. This one does the job.

Use it everyday on walks at night. Sturdy and works well, except the light's brightness becomes unstable when the battery reaches about half capacity. Pressing the on/off button a couple times, one can get the brightness to increase again --but it can seem like one is signaling to others. Not cool. I keep a spare, charged battery with it, to avoid flagging "concerned citizens".

Was looking for a reasonably priced light for my son who's a security guard. Light came packaged very well. Installed provided battery and turned it on effortlessly. Adequate light for size and price. Nice heavy duty holster and recharging station. Good light for the cost.

I like it. Very bright and long lasting. I don't use it often, but keep it charged as suggested in the owners manual. I am hoping to find a good "bug out bag" to use this with.

Love this flashlight! I started night time deliveries and this flashlight came in handy when I had trouble seeing addresses.
