FolkmanisPorcupine Hand Puppet

The Folkmanis porcupine is lovely. He is very soft and easy to use in our puppet shows. The children love to pat him, then shake him to make his quills stand out. I have always regarded Folkmanis as a leader in making puppets, and the porcupine does not disappoint.

I wanted a stuffie that looked realistic. I don't care that its a puppet; I will probably stuff it with something soft. 'Cuz baby porcupines are rounder and squishy. I know this because we had one living under our side porch for about a month last fall. Loved that baby!

I got this as a gift for someone who is constantly making porcupine jokes. It went over well! He loved it.

I got this to go along with a book to read my class. My little ones love this and love to pet it. My hand fits perfectly inside to make the puppet come alive.

Durable material. Fun to play with the dogs. Has been a favorite of all three dogs.

I’ve been using a Folkmanis porcupine puppet in my story times for five years. I needed to replace my old friend with a new one and I’m so let down by the quality! My new porcupine is a much shinier, cheaper fabric. The nose holes are very poorly sewn, so it looks like she has just one giant nostril. Her feet are much floppier and have loose threads. She isn’t as well stuffed and even after fluffing post shipping, she has a divot on her back. Overall, she just feels much cheaper and less sturdy than my old puppet.
