I was invited to a very nice dinner by a London friend, and after I accepted the invitation, I began to think in terms of "What in the world am I going to wear?". I got out an old but still beautiful navy (with vermilion flowers) crepe de Chine skirt, with a plain navy crepe de Chine blouse. Eureka, they still fit, BUT... the sleeves are short, and I am at the age in which I do not care to draw attention to my forearms.I looked for long-sleeved navy silk blouses (but didn't want anything satiny), and besides, I was not convinced that they would fit; and then I happened on this sheer shawl, which not only looks elegant with the outfit, but also draws a discrete veil over what should be veiled!The shawl is beautifully made; it drapes and billows gracefully and does not slide around. It comes in a little chiffon pouch with a clear zip envelope, so it can be packed neatly.I feel a bit as though my Fairy Godmother has arrived and said: "Cinderella, you *shall* go to the ball!"P.S. I ended up buying the black with the vermilion red paisley. It looks fantastic with my silk skirt and blouse.

This scarf is beautiful. Soft silky and long! The colors are vibrant too. Seems like a much more expensive item than it actually is. Highly recommend

This scarf does not have the drape of a heavy silk scarf. It is much more gossamer and semi-transparent. However, understandable given the price point.Some may consider it a bit pricey for what it is but it does create the look one wants when using an extra long scarf. It is soft and lightweight but has some substance. The colors were nice and bright and managed to avoid being garish. The print method is clearly not high end but works for knotting at the neck. I would not use it as a wrap. I also would not give this as a gift, but I would get another for myself since long scarves with nice designs in this price range are hard to find.I am not sure how it will hold up after a wash. If it holds the body it currently has that would be great.
