Best 3D Chess Piece Molds
Love these chess piece molds! They stand up straight on their own and are nice and strong… all of them were easy to demold with the exception of the King and Queen… they get stuck at the middle where this lip is… I found that if I rolled the mold down instead of just trying to pull the piece out, and used some WD40 as a lubricant, they would pop right out! I made a set using UV Resin… I hate waiting 24 hours for things to cure when they are this size,,,I cured them in layers as well… except the pawn, I could fill them up and cure them all at Once… took about 45 minutes total time to cure everything properly using the uv resin …. I also made a set with 4 hour demold Resin when I cured up a checker/chess board… that way I had two complete sets of pieces to go with the board,,, the board was the same brand as the pieces I’m reviewing now… over all, these chess pieces are excellent … they are sturdy, easy to demold, and did not warp out of shape demolding them… I am going to order another set so that I have two complete sets and some extras since I got one set with the board mold… Highly recommend!!!

Not quite up to standards for making multiple chess sets
They easily tip over and leave spaces in between the rims of the pons chess pieces.. bought a stand for them and it continues to separate but just some pons not all.. using same batch of resin.. the KING ripped in half demoulding

Seems fine
These molds (all molds) should come with a warning lol. I'm new to the 2 part resin stuff so my knowledge is severely lacking, or was. Make sure you get the resin ALL the way to the bottom and make sure there aren't any air gaps! Took me 3 or 4 times to make one set. Strictly user error obviously. Make sure you stretch out the molds like you would a balloon first. On the bright side? All of those attempts and not one of those buggers tore! Definitely sturdy.

Not good for chocolate molds.
Do not purchase this for chocolate molds. I tried this and it was not a great experience. It’s harder to get the chocolate it without bubbles and through the narrow part of the piece. Once the. Chocolate hardened, it was difficult to get the piece out without it breaking at the narrow spot. Don’t waste your time.

All are standing up well. Sturdy molds
Loved that that stood up straight unlike some I purchased elsewhere. Very nice quality, not super thin. Details came out beautifullyApp not letting me share a ohoto

Thin
The pieces, when they come out, are matte and beautiful… the problem is removing them from the mold. It’s already difficult to remove the pieces that taper and get wide at the top, but with the molds being a little thinner, I figured that would help the flexibility and allow it to come off easier, not a couple of them ripped right off. I now have to buy another set for extras, but I’m worried about always having to replace them.
