Fortune

Look if you know chris yu know he's a R&B's bad boy, he's always in trouble but yet he's fan's love him even more.. And i think it's because of this album, I love just about every song on this new one and even the futuristic album itself.. the 3D cover, and alien number on the back i feel like it's a cd from 2025.. T"Turn up the music" number 1 track show's the future of club hits..it's makes yu get up sand dance, like crazy, 2012 I've had this on repeat forever still in 2013 im listening to it, There's so much to say about this album.. BOTTOM LINE BUY IT!!! :)

I am a HUGE Chris Brown fan, and have been ever since his official debut. However, I am not in love with this album like I want to be. I am still listening to it and trying to connect to the majority of the songs. We'll see if that happens. I sincerely hope that this album isn't indicative of where Chris's creative genius is headed because I am not sure that I can stick along for the ride. I do, however, still really like all of the songs released as singles, which is what prompted me to buy the album.

I must begin this review by prefacing that I do like Rihanna's music and count "We Found Love", "Talk That Talk", "Drunk On Love",and "Roc Me Out" among some of my favorite songs from her "Talk That Talk" cd. Additionally, I do not condone domestic violence regardless of who starts the fight first. With that said, I admit listening to "Fortune" with the belief that many people deserve second chances. Too many everyday people and celebrities frequently give up in life after making mistakes and thinking that their lives are now over. In fact, it is often the opposite and a mistake is only a stepping stone to greater opportunities and pulling oneself back up. Musical elements of dance, hip hop, and pop are crafted on this cd with party tracks such as "Bassline", "Party Hard", "Free Run" and "Turn Up the Music". "Fortune" by Chris Brown is best for those who have heard and liked Chris Brown's "Beautiful People" and/or hip hop and dance music hybrids. This is mainly because many of the songs on "Fortune" are fashioned from the related theme of "Beautiful People."

I have listened to Fortune and have really enjoyed it. I have the edited-version which contains virtually no profanity, but does contain some explicit sexual content, so parents be warned. Vocally, I was impressed. Musically, Fortune is an off shoot of today's music which is heavily auto-tuned, but I can listen to the album in its entirety, with the exception of Till I Die, straight through.The ballads are incredible! Stuck on Stupid, 4 Years Old, Free Run and Don't Judge Me are instant favorites and are not traditional R&B. I liked that he somewhat mixed genres of music and went back to his fan-base with his singing. Trumpet Lights and Mirage w/Nas are also really good.Controversy aside, I feel like the album and Chris Brown deserved a second chance. There are negative reviews out there. Some of those folks are just trying to make a name for themselves by saying something that will be the next big headline, but you should judge the MUSIC for yourself.

This is a great album and addition to any Chris Brown Collection BUT you must know that even though it is the Clean version that only means that there are no MAJOR expletives heard, there ARE however PLENTY of songs that are anything but clean as in the things that are said. Words like STRIP, NAKED, SEX, are there and the songs are still graphic!

I love Chris Brown so much so of course I am going to love this CD :) When I first listened to this CD I was like nall I aint feeling it, but then as i kept replaying the songs, I was like HELL YEAH :) & I listen to Don't Judge Me and Don't Wake Me Up every morning. I feel like my sister did an excellent job picking this CD out for my birthday. :)

This album is amazing, i loved it..Great songs, Chris brown is a talented young man, with a wonderful voice. I can listen to this album over and over again...I liked every song, especially Don't Judge Me, Don't Wake me Up, Turn Up the Music, and Trumpet Lights...Those are my favorites..The CD worked just fine.

I got the CD for my grandson's 14th birthday! He's a HUGE FAN of Chris Brown. I love the song "Don't Judge Me," to my luck. . . I was able to get the MP3 Version, which I have downloaded to my Android phone for FREE!
