Good Shirt, but not as expected
I like this shirt. It fits like most of my 50/50 blend t-shirts, with a similar soft feel when worn. The only other merino t-shirt I own is a Icebreaker tech shirt. The Minus33 shirt has sleeves that are about an inch longer than a normal, where as the icebreaker tech shirts are about an inch shorter than normal. I have long arms, so I don't have an issue with the sleeves. The Minus33 shirt is cut like most t-shirts, and reacts to body movement accordingly. The icebreaker shirt is cut weird so that if you lift your arms above shoulder height the shirt as a whole lifts several inches, exposing your mid-section. The Minus33 shirt is softer against the skin. The texture, coloring, and fit of the Icebreaker shirt gives it an upscale look that I wouldn't mindf wearing by itself at a bar or restaurant in a pinch. This Minus33 shirt looks like a plain, solid color shirt, with the exception of some unique looking flat stitching. I would not wear this in place of a dress shirt. The Minus33 shirt doesn't have a logo on the chest of the shirt, like the Icebreaker shirt. Ideally, I wish I could find a middle ground between these two shirts. The primary reason I removed a star on this shirt is that I bought the desert sand color to wear as a military undershirt, however, the color is darker than both the picture on Amazon and the picture on the packaging it came in. I literally held the shirt up next to both to compare. It is more of a gold than a desert sand color. Calling it wet sand would be more fitting. It would work for multi-cams, but not any of my stateside uniforms. I'm glad I only bought one. I decided to keep it, so I have a comfortable merino t-shirt around. If it holds up well on hikes, I might buy more in some of the other colors.Side note: After inspecting the photos on Amazon, the pictures show the unique flat stitching around the waist of the shirt and the end of the sleeves. However, on the shirt I received the stitching in those locations is the double line stitching found on almost all other t-shirts, with the unique stitching everywhere else. Maybe Minus33 is cutting costs, or there is no quality check of the shirts when arrive from China. Maybe that is why the color is off as well.

Does not fit like my old Ibex Woolies
I have had Ibex Woolies for about 15 years and some of them are starting to show age, so I got this one.I fit size L of the older Ibex Woolies perfectly. This Minus33 in the same size fits loosely around the upper arms and torso. It seems like at least 1/2 size up vs. the same size Ibex - as the Ibex fit me. It seems of an excellent quality and heavier weight than my old Ibex Woolies.Quality seems really good, but the fit is much looser than the Ibex in the same size. I may try an M...

Great product, plan to order more
I purchased this shirt for general wear but also for use on extended bicycle tours. I've used many synthetic garments from top end brands such as patagonia, nike, under armor and north face with similar and somewhat smelly results. Despite the anti microbial properties of many synthetic garments I've never felt that any of them have held up under long bike rides or hikes without smelling awful. Merino wool will certainly stink if you wear it day after day on an extended trip, but not to the same degree and not very noticeably either. That was primarily why I purchased these shirts and I'm very pleased I did so.First off, I recommend ordering a size up if you'd like a slightly more relaxed fit (6'2" 165lbs and ordered a Large). They'll still be somewhat form fitting but not to the same extent as ordering your normal size. Having a more tightly fitted shirt probably helps somewhat with moisture wicking, but as I said I opted for a more casual/relaxed look. With that being said I've stayed very dry on extended bike rides in hot weather (60+miles, 77 degrees). I have yet to use these on tour, but for now it has passed the test. These shirts are also as comfortable as any soft cotton t-shirt I've ever worn but much more travel worthy. Being able to hand wash and hang dry a garment in a timely manner is very important to me when traveling, and so far I've noticed this shirt will completely dry after washing within two hours (probably faster in hotter weather). That's about as good as any synthetic shirt I've owned. However I find that it can be difficult to totally rid a synthetic shirt of its awful smell when hand washing it on the road. Whereas these shirt tend to only need to be put in the breeze (let alone a full wash) and the B.O. smell is practically gone.So fart I've ridden in temperatures up to the upper 70's and am anxious to try them in hotter weather. Initially I was concerned that they might be too warm, but they really don't feel any different than my favorite cotton shirts so I'm anticipating being able to wear them in the heat of the summer. Bottom line is I'm glad I purchased these and will/have recommend them to friends. They're also quite a bit cheaper than competing brands such as IceBreaker and Smartwool.

Scammed
I ordered two Minus 33 Wool shirts, and I received two Gildan cotton t-shirts straight from China (as per the shipping packaging). I threw them straight in the garbage, what a joke. Joke's on me I guess.

Darn near worth the money!
I use Merino wool T-shirts as undershirts, and have purchased from a variety of suppliers over the years. This is my second batch of Minus33 "lightweight" shirts. I find them pricey, but excellent... by comparison with other brands and non-brands.The weight is better (heavier) than those 150g "ultra-light" shirts that are advertised all over. I prefer a fabric in the 180-to-200g range for durability and drape.Y'know all the characteristics of wool, especially Merino, that are touted? Like thermal-regulating, non-stink/anti-stink, etc.? Well, those are true claims, but I find them MORE true in the slightly heavier knit. The 150g shirts are just too fragile and last only a few washes before getting see-through-ish and starting to show holes and runs, especially in the arm-pits. I suspect that wool just doesn't like some of the chemicals in deodorants, especially when they care kept moist in an armpit all day.Anyway, I've had four earlier Minus33 shirts in my rotation for a couple of years, and they've outlasted other "base-layer" shirts that I bought from other wooly suppliers, and especially a couple that I bought no-name direct from China (no tags or logos) that are just too thin to absorb/wick any perspiration and started failing after 3 washes. The Minus33 shirts, especially these fresh new ones, fit fine under a golf shirt, without showing bulges or wrinkles, and feel really nice against my skin. I would compare the feel to fine brushed cotton, except that brushed cotton loses that nice "hand" after a few washings, and the Minus33 shirts retain it. As well, these shirts can be worn all day, then simply aired-out for a day or two and worn again, with no pit-stink. As an office worker, I can get several wearings before they need laundering. To be fair, if I was a laborer or construction worker, I probably wouldn't push the issue for more than one or two wearings between washes. But even so, try that with cotton or most synthetics, and you would be reeking partway through a second wearing. In summary, if you soak it with sweat, it needs washing, but if you work in an office environment and aren't the anxious type, then airing-out will work two or three times before you need to launder. That's a good thing, because lightweight wool knits are not as tough as some cottons and most synthetics, so they won't survive as many trips through the washing machine as will a poly or nylon or long-staple cotton.I sometimes wear these shirts standalone, and they look and feel fine, with a nice drape, where lighter ones would cling and look silly. But you absolutely don't want to wear just a wool t-shirt under backpack straps or when doing anything that might involve pokey branches and other possibilities of puncture or repeated abrasion - that's why I usually have them against my skin, with a "protective" golf/polo shirt over the wool T. I normally have a selection of colors to either match or complement what I'm wearing over the wool shirt. These Minus33 lightweight (I think they are 190g) t-shirts are recommended. I'm wearing my "desert sand" one right now while I review the dark green one. We'll see if Amazon lets me copy'n'paste the reviews.

You cannot beat Merino Wool !
Minus33 have a large variety of Merino Wool garments. Top quality here on Amazon. There are others as well.Beware of Chinese wool moths. They are not a common but do not take a chance. Open bag above or inside the clothes washing machine. Use a goodDetergent no softener, wash twice lay on towels to dry, place inside freezer for 2 days. I know it's alot of bother but it's worth it for the wool especially for these Chinese Moths which will cause an infestation in a couple of months. If you have holes in the garment immediately wrap in two bags and tape shut. Call Amazon. If you do not follow my instructions and eventually see moths, it's too late. They spread like wild fire that lays eggs everywhere in your home.Merino Wool garments are wonderful. That's all I wear, that and cotton.

Small holes have developed after 4 weeks. Disappointing as it’s very nice to wear.
I have the jumper for 4 weeks and I have worn it about 8-10 times during that period and it has not yet been washed. I wear it as a tee shirt and not for workouts, unfortunately not something I’m able to do. I find it very comfortable to wear. As promised for Merino wool, it’s warm when it gets cool, and cool in the heat, it handles sweat very well. My only problem is that today I noticed that it has developed 5 small holes in the front (around belly button). A problem I’ve heard of. But still disappointing for such an expensive tee shirt.
