Great book but for the jarring typo in the very first paragraph!Was delivered quick, though it came with one corner slightlysquished but the book is so well researched, well written andso beautifully printed that I can forget the little hiccups.

A visual spectacle.A library of knowledge on libraries.Only ,no mention of ancient library at Nalanda and Takshashila.Definitely worth treasuring.

This was a Christmas gift for my son, who loves to study in the large room at the NY Public Library and is interested in architecture. He really enjoys reading about and looking at the stunning libraries around the world. Great for architecture and history buffs, and anyone who loves libraries!

são muitos sonhos dentro de um único sonho primorosamente encadernado. Não estão todas as grandes bibliotecas desse nosso planeta. São milhares e sei que seria impossível reuni-las todas em uma única obra. Mas o que tem já da para fazer muitas viagens. Conheci algumas destas grandes bibliotecas e certamente utilizarei o livro como roteiro para minhas próximas viagens de re-descobrimento destes monumentos arquitetônicos do saber.

This is a really nice book. It is big, colourful, well made, with lots of interesting content. Good buy.
