Voyage with "ABBA in Japan" 2

I have always treated SHM-cds with a bit of caution some sound no different to the regular sound of a Cd - others do sound much clearer and enhanced - and i am pleased to say this one does just that! if you listen closely the orchestration and percussion sound much clearer and the vocals a bit cleaner and sharper!As for the Album itself - it took me a few listens but now i absolutely adore ever track ( apart from Just A Notion which doesnt really fit in) The girls vocals are deep and rich and still blend perfectly after all these years!Apart from the singles my favourite tracks are the dark and mysterous "Keep an eye on Dan" - the beautiful ballad "Bumblebee" and the soaring "No doubt about it"Love it love it love it!

Excellent music from the swedish legends

Cd1 Voyage: the girls voices are severely compressed into the background, you cannot hear any of their words.Cd2 Abba hits: They have remixed the original multi track tapes, bringing forward different aspects of the backing and recessing others. This has resulted in music you just don’t want to listen to, nothing like the original at all. It has lost the delicacy of the girls voices which are then overpowered by thumping bass etc: I thought that my very expensive high end hifi was actually faulty until I put on some of my early ABBA records.

Was expecting a great box set, however just turned out to be a small cardboard sleeve style with 3 disc.I am afraid to say it wasn't anything special, especially for the price!Rather poor & vague description from Amazon.

ABBA is, quite simply, the greatest Pop group of all time! 400+ million records sold and counting! The Winner Takes It All!

I have been an Abba fan ever since their arrival on the Music scene followed them and bought each album as it was releasedWhen news of their reunion to make another album i could not wait to get it, the delay in release was frustrating, now i have itAs reported the two leading ladies voices are an octave or two deeper but the harmony between Agnetha and Freda is still there, the tracks have brought there vocals to a new level of excellence, for me each track told a story and got better and better right up too the last one. Ode to freedom is superb with a mix of Swedish Folklore and a classical harmony tuneThank you Benny and Bjorn for making dark times a tad more happy with a new ABBA album to play many many times, Thank you Agnetha and Freda for once again being able to listening too the best female singers ever to sing in a group

No doubt about the album and quality of the discs but the packaging is seriously rubbish. Paid SGD80 for this and receive a non hard case cover. Understand we are moving towards GREEN environment but can't the paper be cardboard or better quality?
