I've tried several methods of determining how much propane is remaining in the tank and all have been veryinconsistent in the results.I purchased the Flame King scale and the readouts are accurate and easy to understand.Just insert 2 AAA batteries (one on each end of the control), set the weight of the tank.....standard propane tank is 20 lbs when empty....hook the control to the tank and lift gently. The scale will tell you the current weight and the percent of gas left in the tank plus a display showing you the remaining level of gas.Easy to use and definitely worth the price.

Pretty great. Such a simple and easy solution to the problem of knowing how much propane you have left. Wish I'd bought one years ago.

Needed a way to measure my tanks and how full they were. Worked great. I will say the battery compartments are a little weak and the cover pops off easily if not put on correctly.

If you have a tank, this here thing will weigh it. And we all know that you need to keep track of your gas, so here's your tool.

I live in a community where we have many heaters, firepits, etc. that all use propane. I've tried in-line gauges but none I have purchased work very well. This device makes it easy for me to tell exactly what percentage of propane is left in the tanks and learn how much is used by routine activities. This makes it much easier for us to manage our propane supplies for events. The readability, build quality, and accuracy are excellent. It requires 2 AA batteries that are not included. Worth every penny.

Recently during a power outage the propane tanks that fueled my generator tended to freeze over at the valve. Remember an expanding gas aborbs heat. This resulted in my generator cutting off. I was using an inline gauge. I knew there had to still be plenty of gas still in the bottle but I did not know how much. So I got the bathroom scales to weigh the bottles. Not something I would want to do all the time. I saw this device and decided to give it a try. You can set it for 20, 30 & 40 lb bottles.
