Enjoyed it
A member of a secret ladies club, Charity has accepted a dare to break into a gentleman's house and retrieve a packet of love letters to protect a friend's reputation. Unfortunately, her friend's brother is also attempting to steal the letters, and they end up hiding together to avoid being caught.I picked this up when it was free, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't comment on historical accuracy (and frankly, unless it's wildly out of place, like aliens with ray guns running around, I don't really care too much). This is a good, fun, steamy, historical romance that is well-written and has engaging characters.

Really lovely story
Buy this book with your eyes closed if you liked the other books from this series. I actually recommend buying the whole series.

Very entertaining
This was such a fun read. I loved the character of Lady Charity, she is unlike the usual lady that Ethan, Earl of Ralston has met. She takes lessons in fencing and boxing, picks locks and is up for a dare. Ethan has the reputation of being staid and solemn. However, when they meet the attraction is mutual. Can anything come of this as Charity will only marry for love and Ethan does believe in love. Also, Ethan’s mother has another bride in mind for him. This was an entertaining read that I really enjoyed. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I do love reading Alyssa Clarke's books
I have loved the Wagers and Wallflowers series and this book does not disappoint. I would like to think that I would be one of the members of 48 Berkeley Square if I had lived 200 years ago. Strong, brave, feisty, opinionated, full of character but most importantly loved in a happily ever after. Allysa writes her character’s so well that I end up feeling a little sad when their story ends, and my only criticism would be that I wish that this story continued on with epilogues and a part 2.The steamy scenes are well-written and enjoyable. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

Lovely romance, latest in great series
As usual, Alyssa Clarke doesn't disappoint. Sparks fly between Charity and Ralston, and it's laugh out loud - even if you want Ralston to wake up and see she's it for him! Sweet, funny, and just the right amount of spice.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A witty, steamy & entertaining romance
Lady Charity Rutherford wants to help her friend Jenna, so she breaks into Lord Sallis’ house to retrieve the love letters Jenna wrote, only she encounters Jenna’s brother Ethan, the Earl of Ralston on the same quest. The pair are nearly caught when Sallis arrives home early but they hide behind the curtains. Ethan is a upright, honourable gentleman who shouldn’t be interested in Charity & Charity certainly shouldn’t be dreaming of the stuffy Ethan But!! Then Jenna asks Charity to accompany her to the family’s country estate. The fourth book in this lovely debut series & another accomplished book, which I loved & read well into the night to finish it. The characters ooze depth & the pace is fast. I loved both Ethan & Charity, sparks flew whenever they were together. Their verbal banter is witty & entertaining & the chemistry is combustible. I loved how the more they became friends the more they found they were compatible then the L word raised its head & things took a dive until Jenna intervenes. My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
