One of the best HTPC wireless keyboard/ air mouse in this price range
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Zoomtak 2.4G Wireless Wireless Keyboard/Air Mouse because it comes with quite a few highly-desired HTPC keyboard features, such as IR learning, back-light, and unique hotkeys, at a very reasonable price. It features a conventional remote control design/look on one side and a compact 38 keys keyboard on the other side. The package contains Zoomtak remote control, USB adapter, and User manual. The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries to operate and it's NOT included in the package so I have to supply my own. There is a LED indicator light on top to show status, such as flashing RED light when key pressed and also steps for IR learning. The dimension is roughly 6.8"x 2"x0.75" and weight is just 3.5 ounce. The remote is mostly made of plastic and silicon and it feel comfortable at hand with good grip. The keys are responsive and there is a light click physical/sound feedback when pressed. Overall the remote feels pretty high quality and durable.PROs:- Back-light. Back-light is pretty important for me as I own a projector and I have to watch movies in a very dark room. Without back-light on the remote, I had to use my smartphone as a light source to find the keys I want to press but not anymore now. The remote will automatically turn back-light off to preserve battery if no key is pressed for a while.- IR learning. The IR learning process is a little trial-and-error but the basic instructions are 1. Press and hold the TV keys until the LED light flashes. 2. Point the original remote IR transmitter to Zoomtak Remote IR sensor and press the wanted key on original remote to start learning. 3. Zoomtak remote would now display a solid RED light to indicate that the IR command has been learned. 4. Press one of the IR control hotkey and TV key on Zoomtak remote to finish. It's a little confusing at first as the LED indicator seems to always flashing RED light whenever a key is pressed but I got it to work after a while. The good thing is once it's learned it would stay there so I only have to go through the process again if I need a new command or purchase a new device.- Good air mouse performance. Zoomtak remote has 3-Gyro + 3-Gsensor built-in and there is also hotkey for mouse sensitivity (Home + Volume UP/Down to make cursor moves faster/slower). I like how responsive the air mouse is and I think there is also anti-shake built-in for precise clicks. There is a mouse-lock button to stop cursor moving around when I use the keyboard side to type.- Useful hot keys. I really like the key design on this Zoomtek remote. On the "remote" side, there is multi-media keys on the top. In the middle section is the OK key with directional keys and there are also menu/home/back so I basically have access to mouse movement plus right and left clicks all in same area. Under the mouse control, there are volume control and page scroll, and then TV hotkeys/ IR learning hot keys. I'm very grateful that there is a dedicate page scroll button as it makes surfing web so much easier.- Good compact keyboard design. The most challenging part for compact keyboard design I believe is for typing complicated passwords as they might contain a mix of symbol/lower case/upper case letters. Zoomtek made a pretty decent choice of how the key works and I have no problem typing password with this remote. There is a CAPS lock key for upper case letters and ALT key for all the numbers/symbols. The only thing is I couldn't find CTRL key here which is essential when you need to switch input languages on PC. I'll try more and see if I can find a way to access CTRL key. Zoomtek also included a few unique hotkeys such as "www" and ".com" to speed up web addresses typing.- Multi-OS support. I have tried it on my HTPC with windows 7 and 10 and also my Android TV box. Zoomtak remote is truly plug and play. There is no additional driver needed and the remote works right away after the USB adapter is connected.NOTE:- To use the IR learning feature, the original remote needs to follow NEC protocol (majority remote with IR should follow NEC protocol though).Overall it's a very nice HTPC remote control/air mouse with lots features. I'd recommend to give this a try if you're looking to buy a decent remote/keyboard for your home theater setup.

Should Have Bought This One The First Time Around!
This Remote Was Exactly What I Wanted!!! The combination of a Air Mouse, Remote Control, and Keyboard Set Up just like the Rii I own but this one has a much needed feature the Rii Doesn't It Has A BACKLIGHT!! I never thought about that when I originally ordered my Android TV setup butt knew I wanted the Air Mouse, Remote Control, and Keyboard combo from day one and the Android TV Box I Ordered the Zoomtak V Plus only came with the standard remote control which is pretty much what every company supplies in the box. From day 1 of using my Rii remote I knew I screwed up by not getting a backlit remote. I tried using it for weeks but in low light situations the convenience of having the Keyboard on the back was not useable at all. Mostly due to black colored keys and darker colored markings on them. I eventually got fed up with it and started searching, comparing, and reading reviews. I looked at lots of replacement remotes and most of the reviews for them were all over the place and so inconsistent. Then I found this one which was perfect! It was an exact copy of what I had but not only was it backlit it was also Zoomtak and with how happy I have been with My Zoomtak V Plus in general and knowing the quality I've seen from them in the products I bought I didn't search any further or even need to read confusing reviews about it as I already knew there products quality and was pretty confident it would work with my Box being they are the same Brand. That being said I ordered this right that moment. After using it for a few weeks I couldn't be happier with my Purchase/Decision!! The remote works everything perfectly as expected with a Zoomtak Remote being used with a Zoomtak Box as well as the programmable keys to. The Backlight has to be my favorite part about it as not only does it make using it a breeze no matter the lighting of the room but it also doesn't waste battery power by lighting both sides of the remote it only lights the side you have facing up and automatically switches as the remote is turned over! So Thank You Zoomtak for One My Amazing Box (Zoomtak V Plus) that I Love but now also fixing my mistake of the original Keyboard/Remote purchase I made with another of your quality products. I'll definitely be a ongoing customer of your Devices and Products without hesitation! Maybe include this remote in future Boxs as the customers would really appreciate it!

Air "Mouse" is perhaps a bit misleading
I can't recommend this product for use with PC without adding some pretty serious caveats. I had purchased this as a potential all in one mouse and keyboard replacement that could be comfortably used from the sofa. I was disappointed do discover that the cursor movement is sloppy and inconsistent, requiring constant readjustment and fighting against the internal momentum of the gyro. For use with apps or programs with large icons and target areas, this lack of precision is acceptable, but it's nearly intolerable for web-surfing.I also found that the buttons occasionally fail to register, even with a firm and very deliberate press. Having to click multiple times, while attempting to keep the cursor from sliding all around, can be a tedious user experience. Typing with the keyboard side is similarly spotty, but workable if you are patient. I found it didn't register button presses very well if it was held underhand and pressed with the thumbs, as if texting. However, if held overhand and pressed with the index fingers, typing was slower but it registered key presses far more consistently. In short, this little jack of all trades *can* do several things - but when it comes to use on a PC, it does none of them particularly well.

Have a Android box? Get this remote!
I bought this for my Matricom GBox. I love it. The air mouse and keyboard work great. The air mouse part takes some getting used to. It'll move to the edge of the screen but if you keep moving the cursor "off the screen", it'll think that's where you are. Like I said, takes some getting used to, but nothing that'll cause a bad review. The back light works great. Soft enough where it's not annoying, but bright enough to see the keys.
