Fixed an old cooler
I inherited an old Coleman steel cooler from my father a few years ago, and for sentimental reasons I have been repairing and upgrading it as a fun project. New steel handles, a new latch system, and some small epoxy repairs. The inside of my model is lined in white plastic, but my father didn't take good care of it so the inner plastic had some small puncture holes from using it as a toolbox. I tried patching it with JB Weld, but over time those epoxy fixes cracked or lifted away from the cooler plastic, and I wanted to find a less-brittle solution to completely coat the inside of the cooler. The issue I was having is that water was slowly seeping through these cracks and punctures and getting underneath into the foam insulation underneath, slowly starting to rust the steel walls from the inside. I was getting water in the bed of my truck, and I feared I would have to throw away the cooler for good.Enter stage left: TotalBoat FlexEpoxI cleaned up the inside of the cooler and gave it a light sanding for a better bond with the epoxy. I mixed up this 32oz batch and took a 3" wide paintbrush and started coating the inner plastic. After just a few minutes, this stuff is like super thick honey and started staying in place on the side walls. I had to keep smoothing out the epoxy over the first half hour until it started to set up better and stop oozing back down the sides of the cooler. Once completely coated, I let the cooler sit out in the sun to cure.Within about 3 hours, this epoxy wasn't even tacky anymore. It had a nice gloss feel to it. I was hoping that it would dry a bit more transparent than it did, but it does dry clear but with a slight honey color to it. I didn't care about appearance, I only wanted function.I took the cooler out for its first field test the following day. I loaded it up with ice and went on a 4 day camping trip, using this cooler for my food while another cooler was loaded with beverages. I figured that if it leaked, I'd just move the food over to the other larger cooler.Well, it worked like a charm. Not a single drop of moisture leaked out, and this epoxy doesn't get brittle. If I press on the inside walls of my cooler, the epoxy flexes with it ever so slightly and doesn't make any sounds as though it's going to crack.Months later, this epoxy coating is just as flexible as when it first cured. I have the cooler stored in my hot AZ garage and so far it's holding up like new. I'm very impressed with this product and glad that I found it.

Great for filling damp voids in keels at lower temps
I had a short window of weather to fill an unknown void in my keel. While it was recent fresh water due to some hole drilling I likely brought on myself, I didn't relish the idea of water freezing right underneath a very deep bilge sump. I poured in acetone to hopefully remove the water, and let dry for a day. I got some 60cc syringes, mixed up equal parts and started squirting. I started at the bottom, and when it would no longer plunge, moved on up to letting it dribble in. The void ended up being 160cc. The working life is right up to the time it wont squirt out of the syringe...which was about 30 min at 40 degrees. Temps down in the 30s then 50s next day. The epoxy flows slowly, and took three applications to fill this space up, bubbles came up over night. It is now set up quite hard, solidly bonded to what seems to be cement... perfect for this application.

Great Product, easy to use, I liked the extended working time
More money than I wanted to pay, but less than alternatives. That being said, worked like a charm! Will and have purchased again.

This stuff does not break
I really like the performance of this resin. I did a repair on my fiberglass RV roof and it is holding up great. The only downside is that it is a bit thick in viscosity and if you make a layup it is more problematic to work with. The adhesion is great I used a cut of water bottle for mixing and I was not able to break the bond to the plastic the next day no matter how much I flexed the plastic bottle.

I needed a strong flexible epoxy to rebuild a transom
I used this to attach an epoxy-coated wooden transom to my aluminum boat. The adhesive gave a solid bond and, most importantly, flexes as advertised. My outboard is small (150 LBS), so I don't know how a heavier motor would do, but it has done precisely what I hoped for on my project.

I have worked with TotalBoat regular epoxy before. I ...
I have worked with TotalBoat regular epoxy before. I bought some FlexEpoxy because I needed it to stick to the ABS plastic cover of an RV roof hatch, needed to repair and reinforce it because that size cover is not available any more. The Flexepoxy seems to have worked well, I used it to lay the first layer of fiberglass directly on the plastic cover, then followed with 2 more layers of fiberglass with the regular TotalBoat epoxy. I am providing this feedback to let you know that the FlexEpoxy is MUCH thicker than the regular. It is slower to brush and more work to apply. It does soak the cloth, and hardens up well. Just be aware that it is very thick.

High quality underwater epoxy
Used this inside a filled fiberglass swimming pool to secure a fiberglass barstool to the bottom of the fiberglass pool. Prepared as per instructions, held it down with a concrete block during the curing period, and it seems to be holding the barstool in place.I love the fact that this comes with supplies including disposable gloves, 2 wooden mixing sticks and 2 graduated/marked mixing tubs. Having these supplies made it much easier to apply as everything is provided, unlike many other epoxies that do not include these needed supplies. The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is because I don't know how long it will last. If it proves secure over the long term then it deserves 5 stars.I've used other brands and none has held the barstools in place for more than 1 season.
