a new brine tank and it doesn't have a crack in the bottom!
Didn't realize it had a different diameter hose than my 30 yr old master water conditioner so I had to get the correct shark bite hose adapter to connect to the old water conditioner head. An easy get at Home Depot. After replacing the connector it took all of 3 minutes to put the tank in place. It took longer to fill the tank with salt and water. Working great so far.

BEWARE! Hose measurements are not listed!
BUYER BEWARE. The seller has 0 information listed regarding what size hose is compatible with the tank. Of course a hose didn't come with mine (I see some get one so I guess the seller just forgot to include) so I tried to re-use my old hose and naturally it doesn't fit quite right and leaks. I could only make it work by applying enough silicone tape to plug the hoover dam. This is a really dumb oversight on the companies part. it should be listed clearly what size tube should be hooked up to the tank so the buyer at least knows what to go buy to make it work. The tank itself isn't bad so ill toss in a star. -4 stars for all the extra headache that should have never even been there.

Good replacement tank
Old softner salt tank was "square" shape. Bad design! The pressure on the sides make tank more likely to deform and for a crack to form, which is what happened to me. Softener Ok, brine tank leaks. Solution? This brine tank! Nothing special, but well built. Includes brine valve and float, it is all good!

Pros: comes with the brine valve (not just a bare container), decent packaging, the lid is almost sealed (nice and tight), fits 3+ bags of salt easily.Cons: the material could be thicker.Story: my original Rainsoft installation has the resin tank in the crawlspace but the brine tank is outside under the eave, so water drips on the lid. The old lid cracked after a few years. The new one sounds like a drum under raindrops. Wll have to make an extra cover.
