ResQUp Self Help Senior & Elderly Lift, Getting up from Floor Fall Assist Device (Sea Salt)

Bought this just in case my dad fell, he did and we finally used this. It worked well enough for him getting to his wheelchair. It's not sturdy enough for heavier folks, so I'd only recommend this for lightweight folks (my dad is only 160 lbs). Not good value for the money BUT when your folks fall down you'll regret not having bought this. Of note, it's sturdier on the side edges so try to put pressure there instead of the soft middle. Also kneeling on this isn't recommended, I can see it breaking if you do. Manual also states to not use as foot stool.

I think the product is great overall - a really super idea. However, there needs to be a smaller size for those of us who have small spaces. A smaller one would still be effective, fit in a smaller space and be lighter to carry around as well as finding a storage space for it. Please consider developing a "junior" version.

The ResQUp has become a valuable tool when I do work around my house. Being in a wheelchair one of the challenges when you transfer to the ground onto a smooth surface is not having your feet slip from underneath you when you’re trying to transfer back up. The ResQUp has eliminated this as a problem. Now when I’m done working from the floor all I need to do is pull up my ResQUp. Open it, transfer to the first then to the second and the third step and then into my chair. No longer needing to worry if my feet are slipping underneath me and fearing that I will fall. I highly recommend this tool for active wheelchair users you won’t regret it five stars!

Good for someone with some upper body strength and co-ordination. Not good for someone with advanced dementia, even with assistance.

My husband fell late last night. Because of this product that I bought months ago he was able to get himself up. It saved us from having to disturb people in the middle of the night for help. It was so easy to use he was up in minutes. Thank you ResQUp

My wife, 80+ years old and 190+ lbs, fell this morning around 3AM from her walker while coming out of restroom. Tried to raise her up from floor using the commercial compressed air 3 balloons body lift unit, but failed after 3 tries. Finally, took out this steps unit bought couple years ago. Within minutes, she managed to lift herself, with minor help, to the top of the steps, approximately 14” above ground. With ease, i pulled her up.

1. Not worth it...only desperation made m buy it.2. Very unbelievable painful on knees.3. Should have paid more attention to arm strength: It means a LOT of strength needed.So, so sorry I bought it. Don't buy unless you can try it.,

My husband falls inside our home periodically. It would take over an hour or calling someone (with strength) to come over and help get him up off the floor. I bought him the ResQup for Christmas. He was not happy with my purchase because it was pricey and looked a little cheaply made in the pictures. However, the first time he fell after Christmas, all was forgiven. Though not perfect - I was able to help him up onto a chair within about 10 minutes. A first for us. This device is sturdier than it appears, and stores easily. It will give us more time to enjoy in our home without outside assistance.
