LED 14-Inch Flush mount Decorative Light Fixture, 21W (120w Equivalent), 3000K, Brushed Nickel Finish - AL-3151 by Altair Lighting

I bought one here and one at costco. I put them in my 14 feet long bathroom. I have experience in DIY and these are remarkably lightweight and easy to install. This would be a good beginning project for a DIYer. Good light, well fitting parts that seem to be machined well. I prefer plastic canopies myself as I lived in an earthquake area (near San Andreas fault in California) for almost 20 years, even if I now live in a low earthquake zone in Arizona. As long as it easy to open and the invariable scorpions cannot get out and die inside I am happy. Scorpions like ot climb and seem to like to come out of the attic through lighting boxes. So I like these on multiple fronts. I will update review if I see problems after these have been through a few lightning storms as that is the real test in the high desert, along with the heat. I have some art/graphics training and the clean lies of the style also appeal to me as they are easy to pull into different decorating styles as fit, because of the simplicity.

Picture and write up was for the AL-3151 model, which I wanted to match another unit in my home. Shipped model was AL-3162, which, while similar, is not the same. Poor performance...

Lighting can be the bone of contention. Design, illumination, lots of choices. This fixture is very light, easy to install and puts out a very bright light. It works well with a dimmer as well. The plastic lens is a little cheesy but it is low profile and is super easy to mount on a standard service. Even on the wall. We have 3 in the house now and may put in a 4th. What we don't know is how long the surface mounted LED elements will last but the light is pleasant looking with a nice, bright light. Glad we got them and are enjoying them a lot.

The best overhead light I have ever owned! Great bright illumination, dimable and with a warm temperature. Nothing like fluorescent bulbs. No 60 hertz flicker. Easy installation. I ended up buying two more and I may by 3 more on top of that! If you are doing new construction, put these everywhere. Very low power consumption as well. Also it doesn't protrude below the ceiling much- only maybe 3". This is great for low ceiling applications like in basements.My winters are much nicer with this great lighting in my home!

Not good quality, Price is better at home depot

I hung this in my small laundry room, which is a 6 x 8 room and there is PLENTY of light. Costco has these on sale right now for around $28, so if you have a membership, you could buy it there. It looks fine, and was easy to hang. No complaints other than there is a slight slow reaction to the light turning on when you flip the switch. It's not enough to bug me, though, so it's staying.

Perfect for our needs, particularly in the upstairs hallway of our our Cape Cod style house, where the upstairs closet could not be opened fully with our previous light, but this one is so shallow, there are no issues. Also found in Costco, for a lower cost (as others have mentioned), it's quite an inexpensive way to replace outdated kitchen, laundry, hall, etc. lighting. Plus, the light is bright white and not harsh. Go for it.

Easy to install and looks clean and fresh and bright. Do keep the dimmer on the brightest setting so it switches on, and then you ca dim it down. I wish I'd installed this 5 years ago, imagine all the electricity I'd have saved! Oh and i DID NOT get any discount or freebie - i paid for it and this is 100% my review. (I am so fed up with those!)
