Anet A8 Bowden conversion - Highly recommend
I purchased this for my Anet A8 for a Bowden Extrusion Conversion. It works as expected and saved me something like $20 for going with a genuine hot end. It comes with enough tubing to plumb an Anet A8 twice, albeit I mounted my extruder motor behind the display screen (may vary depending on where you plan on putting it).I will say, in all honesty, I did not use the heater element and thermistor included. They appear to be equal/higher quality than what came from the manufacturer for my printer, but for me avoiding rewiring the new hot end just to risk that they wouldn't work wasn't worth it. It just made way more sense to remove what I already had and install in this hot end.Only real issue is that the fan is 30mm as opposed to the factory 40mm fan; not a problem, but the cord for this 30mm fan is something like 10 inches long - no where near compatible with the Anet A8's distance requirement. my solution was to print a 30-40mm increaser spacer and just use the factory hot-end cooling fan.All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I was hesitant it was going to be cloned garbage, but it works. I still need to unwrap the cord for the thermistor/heating element to make sure it's long enough to work with the printer - if it is, I would probably buy a second one of these just as a back-up.If you're looking to do a conversion like I have but don't want to spend a fortune to be disappointed, I would highly recommend starting here. it works and as a worst-case scenario, if you aren't thrilled with the outcome you can always go back to direct extrusion and you didn't spend a ton of money.

Just so you know what you are getting...
This hot-end has a second PTFE liner in the hot zone. This is fine for normal materials, but it will degrade eventually with materials like polycarbonate or nylon. A V6 J-Head, it is not.The plastic fan cowling looked great, but was designed poorly and restricts the airflow. This is easily remedied though with a dremel in a couple minutes. The fan is also complete garbage. It was loud to start with, which was acceptable when it was still moving air. I had it running for a total of three hours before it started not spinning up to full speed and making that 'failed fan bushing noise'.The reason it still gets three stars... It was $12 and the rest of it was perfect.Nozzle was accurately sized.Heater block snugly holds the heater cartridge, and the thermistor is held in place with a screw.Cartridge was correct wattage with good silicone insulation.Thermistor was perfectly in spec.Heat sink, fittings, and tubing were all dimensionally accurate and correct.

good hotend bad thermistor
I've purchased two of these hotends at two completely different times. Both had bad thermistors. My take is that if you buy these cheap knockoffs just buy a bunch of thermistors and heating elements. Then at least you will get it to work. As an aside if the hotend is not extruding properly until you raise the temp then it is bad and you should change it. It's happened to me enough.

Since replacing the Ubis hot end on my Printrbot Jr ...
Since replacing the Ubis hot end on my Printrbot Jr with this print head I've had far fewer jams and greatly enhanced print quality. Of the many changes I've made to this printer over the years non have made as big a difference to the overall performance of the printer as this one. That said, there are a few annoyances with it. The biggest problem I have with it - and the only reason I'm knocking a star off the rating, is that the nozzle is torqued down so tight that I absolutely cannot get it off. I can't change nozzles at all and clearing jams means taking the heating block off the heat break.

Nice, inexpensive unit, works good.
I had a very minor issue, and in less than an hour (on a sunday no less) after contacting them, they made it right. Will definitely deal with them again. This came with an any cubic branded fan; which for my setup was a bit weak for anything hotter than PLA ,and not cooling of the heatsink properly causing blockages. That was remedied quickly by swapping out the 12v fan for a 5v fan connected to 12v to get it to spin faster and push more air. I also flipped the fan around so that it will pull the air away instead of into the heat sink. Now the heatsink is never hotter than what feels like room temp, and now I can print PLA and PETG (230°+) with no issues.

Skeptical at first because of low price, weeks later i bought another.
Great extruder, i bought 2 so far, each one came nice and clean,Thermistor and Heater Cartridge set tight in the hot end, no need for adjusting. The whole thing comes apart in multiple pieces making it REALLY easy to clean the inside,The Fan works great, i was worried it was going to be a little too weak,The only time this thing jammed up on me was when i didn't realize i pulled the wires for the fan out of my ATX with my elbow on accident.Has a PTFE tube inside, so don't set the temp too high or it will burn. This is the ideal extruder for printing in PLA.I already plan on buying a couple more soon.

Packing
The nylon tubing was wound so tight in the package it could not be used due to kinks.

Works beautifully!
Was a little hesitant at first because it was so cheap, but it works wonderfully! I recommend using a different coupling for the connection to the tube, however. It could just be mine, but I find that it is very difficult to remove the tube at times, but I started using a different connector and now I have no complaints! The included fan shroud cracked very easily, but it still works ok!Installed on a Rostock max v2 with a mount I found on Thingiverse to attach it.
